Cirque Du Soleil
TOTEM
March 14- April 21, 2013
Citi Field, NY
Our amazing night at Cirque Du Soleil began before we even hit the show.

Going through the gates of Citi Field we could see the Big Top Tent to the right. The tent has flags that represented all the countries participating in the current Cirque Du Soleil TOTEM show. Then we walked into the standing area. They had everything from snacks to souvenirs to alcohol to those nice CGI pictures that gave everyone a chance to see themselves on TOTEM.

The excitement could be heard as they opened the big tent for everyone to find their seats. We were thrilled with our 4th row seats! That put us very up front and close to the action. The stage started off with a turtlelike animal on a beautiful grassy beach background. I knew already tat that point that the show would be awesome.

This show showed off an amazing spectacle of characters dressed like lizards and tree frogs. There were acts with clowns to mind blowing tricks on a beach scene. We all laughed when during the skit with the clown in a boat. Hilarious! We also thought the act with the five girls on the height unicycles performed tricks I have never seen before in my life! Not to mention, this was all before intermission!

After the intermission there was much more fun in store. The clowns were playing and it turned into singing and the one clown showed off with the devil sticks . My favorite and what I thought was the best performance of the night was a trapeze act that blew my mind . The next act was just breathe taking as a giant drum was brought out and 2 performers showed us their talent with a lot of spinning and different positions. There were balance beams, acrobatics and neon. A definite recipe for a lot of amazing tricks. Wow, the finale was beyond anything I have ever seen in my lifetime.

At home after the show: “I’m sitting in my chair after the most amazing night I ever had seeing Cirque Du Soleil Totem . I have been to many places all over and seen many shows, but this show was AMAZING and touched me with that much excitement , energy, comedy the thrills of a circus in a unique way that I would so recommend this show for couples and/or families of all ages!”.

Light Up Your Easter Egg Hunt With Positive Messages, Memories and HERSHEY’S Treats

Light Up Your Easter Egg Hunt
With Positive Messages, Memories
and HERSHEY’S Treats
Every year when Easter rolls around I cannot help but get a twinge of excitement
deep within my soul. Being a mom of three children ages 22, 13 and 6, I have been
snapping on the bunny tail and floppy bunny ears for years and years. I find the
fascination of a child who believes in the magic of the Easter Bunny to be one
of the most amazing experiences of my life. Along the path of parenting I have come up
with numerous traditions to create family memories. One of my favorite has to
be the tradition of our Bunny egg hunt that takes place after dinner on Easter Sunday when
the sun goes down. Our official Easter Bunny(me) came up with this idea a
few years ago and it has been a big hit ever since.

It’s quite simple and really amazes the kids every time. Who can resist anything that lights up?

We start with a Memory Jar (we always have a memory jar on the counter) which has a
constant flow of funny memories or something special that a family member did
during the year. I look through the strips and use them as the bunny’s inspiration to write
Bunny notes to fill the eggs with.

Example: #1
The Easter Bunny loved when you made a card for you friend that was in the hospital.
Example #2
The Easter Bunny always hops higher when you read a book at bedtime!
Example #3
The Easter Bunny chuckled when Adam had on two different sneakers.
Example #4
Remember to eat your carrots and other vegetables just like the Easter Bunny!
Example #5
The Easter Bunny wants to remind Dad not to leave his coffee on top of the van!
You can personalize the Bunny Notes to anything you would like.
My older children love this, too. They are good sports and play along but honestly
I think they do enjoy some of the funny notes the Easter Bunny leaves inside the eggs.
Now, for the light up part of the egg- I get the light-stick bracelets at the dollar store.
They are packed as 18 in a pack so for $2.00 I have enough for 36 eggs!
Makes for an awesome light show.
Final step is to add a delicious HERSHEY’S treat or two to the light up egg.

In our family by the time Easter dinner is over everyone is just hanging around. As soon as the
sun goes down hubby or I sneak out to the yard and place the eggs all over.
Then we direct everyone to the yard and fun begins. I will miss the magic when
I don’t have a bunny believer in the house any more, but I have a feeling this tradition
will carry on for years to come.

Our fun and finished Light Up Eggs! Filled with fun!

JERSEY SHORE Cast Will Reunite at Six Flags Great Adventure Opening Day During Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert

JERSEY SHORE Cast Will Reunite at Six Flags Great Adventure Opening Day
During Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert
Sammy Adams and Timeflies Join Ne-Yo on MTV, mtvU and United Way’s “Spring Fix” Concert on Saturday March 23, 2013

How awesome is this? The cast of “Jersey Shore” including NicoleSnookiPolizzi, JenniJWOWWFarley, Vinny Guadagnino, Sammi SweetheartGiancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Deena Nicole Cortese will reunite to thank the student volunteers with a day of roller coasters, games and giving back, helping to raise funds for United Way.  Additionally,  Sammy Adams and Timeflies will join previously announced multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Motown Records artist Ne-Yo as performers for the “Spring Fix” benefit concert at Six Flags Great Adventure on Saturday, March 23, 2013 beginning at 3 pm.  The concert is free with park admission to all Six Flags guests, and a portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to United Way.

As part of an alternative spring break, MTV has teamed up with United Way and mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, to bring 50 college students from around the country to the New York / New Jersey area beginning on Sunday, March 17 to help rebuild communities devastated by Hurricane Sandy.  Celebrities will join their efforts, including MTV’s Andrew Jenks World of Jenks,”  Vinny Guadagnino, former “Jersey Shore” star who will also host the new series “The Show with Vinny,” New York Giants All-Pro Defensive End Justin Tuck, “The Challenges” alums Kenny Santucci and  Evan Starkman, and  Averey Tressler and Johnny Reilly from the upcoming season of “Real World Portland.” MTV cameras will be on the ground capturing all the “Spring Fix” activities, and the “Spring Fix” coverage will air during a special “Spring Break” themed week on MTV and mtvU beginning April 1, 2013.

To thank the 50 students for their service and raise funds for United Way, Six Flags Great Adventure, the world’s largest theme park, located in Jackson, New Jersey will host the “Spring Fix” concert with three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Ne-Yo on Saturday, March 23, 2013, the season opening of the Park.  Ne-Yo found his big break when R&B singer-actor Mario scored a #1 hit with “Let Me Love You,” which Ne-Yo co-wrote with the track’s producer Scott Storch.  The song made it to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks.  Ne-Yo helped ring in 2013 with a performance on MTV’s “Club NYE,” and also shared the stage with Pitbull for an explosive performance during the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

RCA Records singer, songwriter and producer Sammy Adams will hit the road this spring on a national tour with T. Mills. Adams is currently in the studio working on his debut RCA Records album coming later this year and recently co-wrote and was featured on Enrique Iglesias’ single “Finally Found You” which made it to the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Last summer, Adams premiered the official video for his explosive summer single, “Only One,” across VEVO.  The song was also featured as part of CBS’ promos for the 2013 NFL playoffs. Late last year, Adams released OK Cool, his pre-album (mixtape) which featured a snippet of his track “All Night Longer,” now available for sale at all digital music providers.

Timeflies duo Rob “Rez” Resnick and Cal Shapiro started the band in 2010 and in September 2011 they released their first debut album, The Scotch Tape. They’re known for their remixes, performing live covers, freestyling and original beats. Their second album will be released in Spring/Summer 2013.

Service projects are being planned with United Way in locations in New York including Long Beach, The Rockaways, and Staten Island, and in Monmouth County and Ocean County in New Jersey.  MTV’s “Spring Fix” efforts are a continuation of the sustained effort by MTV to help rebuild Seaside Heights, New Jersey, and other areas devastated by Sandy.  In November 2012, dozens of stars, artists and organizations joined with MTV for an hour-long fundraising special, “Restore the Shore,” which helped raise desperately needed aid to help rebuild the heart of the Jersey Shore.

In 2006, MTV partnered to host the first ever United Way Alternative Spring Break, with students from around the country trading the typical beach parties and nights out to go to communities in the Gulf Coast to help with long-term recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina.  United Way Alternative Spring Break has offered thousands of young people the opportunity to do meaningful service since inception.

Official sponsors of “Spring Fix” include AT&T, State Farm® and U.S. Army.

Young people who are unable to join “Spring Fix” but want to get involved will be able to find additional service opportunities at SpringBreak.MTV.com or at Serve.MTV.com. For more information or to get involved, go toSpringbreak.MTV.com.

Giveaway: SWAG BAG from DreamWorks Animation The Croods Red Carpet NYC Premiere In Theaters March 22

Giveaway: Swag Bag From
DreamWorks Animation
The Croods Red Carpet NYC Premiere
In Theaters March 22
Life can be a wonderful thing, especially when you have the pleasure
of attending a Red Carpet Premiere in NYC thanks to +The Moms.
Recently my family attended Dream Works Animation NYC premiere
of The Croods. Of course there were stars abound and we did get a glimpse
of some of them and got to chat with others. All in all it was an amazing day filled
with lights, cameras, stars, popcorn, treats, swag and of course that famous red carpet.
Meeting Emma Stone
No matter how amazing the event in itself may have been, it would not have
been complete if the movie did not live up. I am happy to say that The Croods is
worth a go on March 22nd when it officially hits theaters. This movie was hilarious and
was only confirmed by the roar of laughter from both adults and children that
filled the theater of  The Croods 3D goers.
DreamWorks Animation, The Croods,  is a humorous adventure filled with exciting 3D screen moments and quite a few chuckles on both child and adult level. The fun never ends with this prehistoric family as they try to beat the clock after their cave of protection is destroyed forever. The overprotective father, Grug (Nicolas Cage) is just hilarious with his backward way of thinking along with his ideals about how his family should operate. Things get more intense as Grug’s daughter, Eep (Emma Stone) meets up with Guy (Ryan Reynolds), who has a whole other
outlook on life and tries to convince the family there is “another way” to live.
As The Croods flee the only life they ever knew, they discover an amazing new world,
new ways, new friends and most importantly a new way of thinking.
I think there is a little bit of The Croods in every family.
You will definitely not want to let this one slip by. Check out more about The Croods right here.
