DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free Season 4 Streaming Now On Netflix spirit15Just put a horse and a little girl next to each other and you will see pure magic right in front of your very own eyes. Those are my own feelings anyway but they were proven over this past weekend. One of Emily’s favorite Netflix shows is DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free! To be honest, I am a complete fan as well. We have spent hours binge watching Spirit and Lucky as they have taken on their journey.

Recently we were invited by DreamWorks and Netflix to get an up close experience with real horses and get the real feel of what it must be like to be Lucky ( the main girl in the series). Spirit Riding Free is a Netflix Original Series based on the book series. In a small Western town, spunky ex-city girl Lucky forms a tight bond with wild horse Spirit while having adventures with best pals Pru and Abigail. The show stars Amber Frank, Sydney Park, Bailey Gambertoglio.

If you have a tween girl in your house you most likely have horses and unicorns all around. Around here Emily loves anything with horses and I can’t blame her. From the moment she heard about Netflix releasing Spirit Riding Free she was waiting for it to stream. Season One was incredible, then followed by Seasons two, three and now Season four. The show is filled with adventure and anyone that loves horses will love this show. The adventure is endless and the situations will inspire you to chat with your children about different real life issues. I guess that is one of the reasons I like to watch Netflix shows with my child. There is also something to spin the show into when it comes to conversations afterwards.

So, when Emily heard we would be spending the day with horses she was ecstatic to say the least. She found her Lucky inspired top to wear and packed up her Spirit Riding Free dolls and we headed to New York City in search of Gallop NYC! It was the very first time I heard of Gallop NYC so I couldn’t wait to see what the day would be like myself. I mean, horses in NYC? I could hardly believe it.

If you are wondering what Spirit Riding Free is all about, here it is in a nutshell. Lucky (the main character) used to live in the city and moved to the country and frontier. Soon after she meets a beautiful brown wild mustang named Spirit. Lucky feels an overwhelmingly instant connection to Spirit even though he appears to be untamable. That does not stop Lucky because she just adores Spirit. Along the way Lucky meets up with her new best friends Pru and Abigail. The three girls take on adventure like it’s what they were born to do. Lucky is a natural born leader with a eye for adventure. With Pru and Abigail by her side there are plenty of adventures for them to go on. As Lucky navigates her new world she takes on adventure one day at time with Lucky, Pru and Abigail by her side. Together they figure out what true friendship, honesty and bring free is all about.

I can’t even begin to tell you what a beautiful day we had at GallopNYC <–Click here. Unfortunately I DELETED my photos from that day and they did not back up to the cloud. I was about in tears, but luckily I did have the ones in this post already shared to social media and had already made my youtube video. Anyway, memories live on in our hearts and this day will live on for a very long time. As for GallopNYC, my daughter already wants to go back! She wants to see the horses again and groom them and ride them! I promised I would make plans for her this summer. But in the meantime, we will be watching DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free at home and playing along with the episodes! Shop Rite Wholesome Pantry Line Makes Snacking Delicious!

If you know me, you know I am in Shop Rite a million time during the month. I’m constantly grabbing veggies, meats, milk and eggs! It seems like we run through everything in the blink of  an eye. With a family of five I am glad we live pretty close to the local Shop Rite. When I was contacted by Shop Rite to check out their Wholesome Pantry Line I was pretty excited! It was a perfect match. But it felt kind of odd to be asked to review some on the Pantry Line products and not having a clue about what they even were. How can I constantly be in the store and miss the product line. I could not wait for everything to arrive. shop9

Wholesome Pantry line consists of both USDA-certified organic items, and “free-from” products made with simple, clean ingredients without artificial additives, flavors, colors and preservatives. Okay, that makes it easier. I was pretty happy to see exactly what Wholesome Pantry had in store for us. Have you ever heard of them? Have you tried any of the products? This family is all about finding new snacks! How about you?

Although we are trying to cut back on the snacking a bit around here, it happens. Snacking is just part of life, right? I mean, we can’t get through the day without some snacks so why not go for a healthier version than what you are presently snacking on!? I am pleased to tell you that when Shop Rite’s Wholesome Pantry arrived I was excited! Everything looked great! BUT, looks are not everything. Pretty packaging can only take things so far. I grabbed the family members that were around and had them check out the products with me. We are not exactly and organic family but do buy some products that are organic. ShopRite’s Wholesome Pantry line elevates the snacking experience by returning to simple, authentic ingredients. As for the taste, DELICIOUS! I will go product by product but as a whole, everything really tasted good. I could see adding some of the products to my regular shopping list. I was really glad to be introduced to the products because it is definitely something I would have just walked by and probably have over and over. The price point is also affordable, a definite plus!

Since the products launch in December 2016, ShopRite has introduced hundreds of Wholesome Pantry products, extending to nearly every aisle, including frozen, produce, dairy, and meat, along with more than thirty five wholesome snack varieties. HOW did I miss these all this time???!!! So, let’s see what everyone in the family thought one by one. Check it out below!

Wholesome Pantry Organic Energy Mix – This was definitely my personal favorite! It’s a satisfying mix of sunflower seeds, organic raisins, dried cranberries, nuts and dried apples. It was perfect as an eat alone snack and to top off pancakes! So much yum!

Wholesome Pantry Freeze Dried Fuji Apple Fruit Crisps were my daughter’s favorite. She is obsessed with dried fruits and said that these were delicious. I only had the chance to taste one, she claimed them as her own and left! They were filled with flavor and portable. Of course being low-calorie treats are great to have around to snack on or a hit for being on the go!

Wholesome Pantry Organic Crushed Pepper and Truffle Oil Popcorn was delish. I’m not much of a pepper fan but hubby is and he thought they were on target! A perfect movie crunch for sure! They are finished with a hint of elegant truffle oil and a dash of spicy pepper for a purely rich treat!

Wholesome Pantry Organic Pecan Halves were perfect! There is never a wrong time to eat pecans in my eyes. They are one of my fave goto snacks to have on hand. They are delicious alone or combined with a lunch salad or yogurt! I even put them into muffins. Yum!!  It’s hard to resist pecans especially knowing they are packed with nutrients and a wonderful taste that no pecan fan can resist!

Ready Player One Now In Theaters! A Gamers Dream Come True!

Will I like the movie, Ready Player One? YES! This movie is great for everyone, especially gamers. If you are a gamer you are going to absolutely love this flick on the big screen! Our family watched it on IMAX and the seated fans were cheering out loud! It was awesome to see that many fans cheering along. It’s the kind of movie you just get lost in. As a note, I am planning to take my eleven year old daughter to see this movie, even though they do use the F word during the Chucky scene. I’m glad I had the chance to see it first to know what is coming. The rest is perfect for kids who love gaming or adventure!

Ready Player One is the epic pop culture tribute that fans of classic films and video games have been waiting for. In the film, fans will step into the Oasis, where anything beyond one’s wildest dream is no longer out of reach. Ready Player One encompasses everything that makes a film great, and works it into a cohesive and exhilarating journey. Steven Spielberg does an exceptional job bringing the story of Ernest Cline’s novel to the big screen, and truly captures the spectacle that the tale portrays.

The movie centers around Wade Watts, an 18-year-old boy who comes from the Stacks, an impoverished area near Columbus, Ohio. While not living the best life in the Stacks, Watts spends most of his time immersed within the OASIS, a virtual world created by James Halliday, who Watts looks up to, and his partner Ogden Morrow. Throughout his journey inside The OASIS, Wade must collect the three keys that Halliday has left behind after his death inside the world he created. He faces quite the challenge, however, when rival businessman Nolan Sorrento steps into the fray with the intent to be the sole controller of The OASIS. Watts can’t take on his foe alone, and must band together with his friends to complete the ultimate task of saving The OASIS, and preserving Halliday’s memory.

Overall, Ready Player One is a unique experience with just enough pop culture references to keep the action moving. Audiences will be extremely surprised with who they may see in the film, from classic characters such as King Kong and Chucky to those more obscure who may just work better as a surprise for viewers. The film does a great job finding balance between giving the audeince pop culture references, and providing a brand new story that ties it all together. At its core, Ready Player One is an outstanding ride that brings back the heart of some of Steven Spielberg’s early film career classics. Fans are given the opportunity to take a trip down memory lane while also discovering a new classic film adventure. Ready Player One is an absolute blast, and a must-see for video game nerds and movie fanatics everywhere!
 

So grab your friends and family and head to the theater. If you have the chance to see the movie in IMAX, do it! It’s worth the extra if you have a good IMAX theater around you. I’m glad I’m going to see it for a second time with the rest of my family that missed the first time around. I’m looking forward to what they think about the movie. I’m sure they will have the same love for this movie that I do!
Can’t wait to hear what you think about Ready Player One! As far as the book is concerned, I have never read the book that preceded the movie. I did have the chance to chat with some Book Fans that were at the screening with me. They LOVED the movie too, but said that it did differ in many ways from the book but they were still happy about the movie.
