Giveaway! Nintendo Animal Crossing New Horizons- Our Top Ten Tips!

As you already know, we are family of gamers! From youngest to oldest, we game! I am personally obsessed with all things Nintendo! Recently our family checked out Nintendo Animal Crossing New Horizons and loved it! We were already Animal Crossing fans for years so we could not wait to see all the fun that we would encounter while playing Animal Crossing New Horizons! One of our favorite things we knew we would love would be visiting our friends’ islands via Dodo Airlines and be able to interact with them! Here are some of our Top Tips we have gathered up since playing the game. Hope you enjoy them and maybe they will help you out a little.   1. You can water nearby flowers to grow new colors!
  2. Talk to Sable every day, and she’ll become more friendly. Once you’re her friend, she’ll give you cool patterns to customize items with!
  3. Every day, a bottle with a DIY recipe inside will wash up on one of your beaches. Be sure to check them all!
  4. You can trade your extra DIY recipes with your friends!
  5. Every island has different turnip prices, and they change at noon, so be sure to check your friends’ islands for good selling prices!
  6. If a villager gives you their photo, it means you’ve become best friends with them!
  7. Try talking to a friend’s villager if they’re moving out. You may find them moving onto your island soon!
  8. If you want to take a look at someone else’s island, but you’re too tired for a Dodo Airlines flight, no need to worry! Just lay down in a bed, and Luna can help you visit the island!
  9. Every Sunday until noon, Daisy Mae will be walking around your island selling turnips. They spoil the next Sunday, so try to sell them for a good price during the week!
  10. There are some songs, like “Animal City”, that K.K. Slider will not play unless you request them! He takes requests after 6PM, so make sure to stop by!

Bonus tip!!! You can sell your bugs to Flick and fish to C.J. for a higher price than you can at Nook’s Cranny!

Skylanders SuperChargers Races Onto the Scene This Fall!

The latest Skylanders game has been announced, and it looks INCREDIBLE: this fall, clear the road, air, and sea for the vehicle-focused Skylanders SuperChargers! We got a special look at the upcoming game at an exclusive event hosted by MomTrends and Activision– read on to learn everything there is to know about the newest installment in the Skylanders series!18413709972_73c73fc174_z

As you know, we’re BIG Skylanders fans here, and as a family who’s played through the four previous chapters in the Skylanders adventure (the 2011 debut hit Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure & its sequels Skylanders Giants, Skylanders Swap Force, and Skylanders Trap Team), we’re thrilled to check out the latest additions to the franchise. But just what is Skylanders SuperChargers?

Releasing on September 20 of this year, Skylanders SuperChargers will focus on a brand new type of interactive Skylanders toy: vehicles! Yes, all of your favorite Skylanders (plus 20 new SuperChargers!) will be able to drive, dive, and fly across Skylands as they explore the world in twenty new land, water, and air vehicles. The cars (and planes, and submarines, and more!) each pair up with one of the new SuperCharger characters (like the Giants, Swap Force, and Trap Team characters that lent their names to previous games)– though any character can drive, when the vehicle and its matching SuperCharger are on the portal together, both will receive a supercharged upgrade, making them more powerful overall.

As always, the game will release with a Starter Pack featuring the new portal and three Skylanders figures– this year, those three figures are the trailblazing dune buggy Hot Streak, its partner SuperCharger (the robotic-looking flaming dragon Spitfire), and fan favorite Stealth Elf, who’s been given an upgrade to SuperCharger status as well! The game will also be available in a new digital Portal Owner’s Pack– similar to the Portal Owner’s Pack from Skylanders Giants, this new edition will allow you to use the previous game’s portal (in this case, the one from Skylanders Trap Team), but unlike the previous Portal Owner’s Pack, the Skylanders SuperChargers one will feature a digital download of the game rather than a physical disc, and digital versions of the starter pack characters as well.

Skylanders SuperChargers will be available on September 20, 2015 on Xbox One, Playstation 4, WiiU, Xbox 360, PS3, and iOS (and an alternate experience of the game will also be available on Wii and 3DS.) My Valentine Just May Be Skylanders’ Newest Guy, Love Potion Pop Fizz and Skylanders Valentine Cards

Valentine’s Day is creeping up fast. We’ll definitely be celebrating the big love day around here by playing one of our favorite games! You will not want to miss out on this awesome addition to the crew. Skylanders’ newest stud, Love Potion Pop Fizz!!!!! When his latest attempt to concoct the ultimate raspberry soda totally backfired, Love Potion Pop Fizz was caught in a blast that turned him pink and gave him an alluring aroma.  At least that’s how he tells it.  But with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the Skylanders are all wondering if Pop Fizz is telling the truth – or if there is a special someone that he’s trying to impress! This character is available for a limited time at major retailers for $14.99. Run!!!!!  Your family will definitely fall in love with  Love Potion Pop Fizz! We did!
