 “That’s Fresh: For Kids”!
If your kids are like mine they are always trying to help out in the kitchen. I find it to be an amazing place to build family memories and have some fun! My children have always loved to help out in the kitchen and it looks like things are about to get even easier! This Monday, May 6, Disney Junior will debut “That’s Fresh: For Kids,” a new version of the popular Disney Junior Night Light cooking series “That’s Fresh,” with new episodes debuting every morning on Disney Channel throughout the week. Hosted by Chef Helen Cavallo, the series encourages young viewers to play an active role in the cooking process and imparts the importance of healthy eating habits.
In each episode, Cavallo prepares simple and nutritious recipes that require no sharp objects or cooking so that young viewers at home can safely assist their parents or caregivers.
Featured recipes include Veggie Rolls, Fruit Kabobs, Trail Mix, Berry Pops and Doc McStuffins’ No Bake Muffins. All “That’s Fresh: For Kids” recipes are Mickey Check-approved.  Foods that receive the Mickey Check meet Disney Nutrition Guidelines that limit calories, saturated fat, sodium and sugar.

Welcome to Jurassic New Jersey! 
Right here-not far from the NJ turnpike, you can
find dinosaurs nestled amongst the trees in Secaucus, NJ.
Family time is always in demand and this is the perfect place to make
family memories together. You can take your children or your friends and enjoy the entire 
day at Field Station Dinosaurs. Let your imagination go wild and take you back to 
millions of years ago as you think back to what it must have been like when dinosaurs
roamed the earth. Gigantic dinosaurs will tower over you as you follow the path throughout
the park. Each dinosaur is interactive and accompanied by a display board 
with the dino’s name and facts. Your children will not even realize this is an educational trip.
You may even pick up a few dinosaur facts you never knew about!
Along with walking throughout the park there are many other things to do during your
visit. There are interactive live shows throughout the day. The show changes even though the location remains the same, so you can see more than one. We caught two shows during our visit and both were entirely entertaining! There are also stops along the way where you can present your Passport for stamping after completing the activities.
 There is a coloring tent, building tent, a dinosaur bone digging sand pit (my daughter’s favorite) 
and many more. 

 When you visit, don’t forget to venture to the highest point of the park. There are few amazing dinosaurs at the top and also a view of the New York Skyline as a backdrop to the T-Rex!

 I wonder what he would think if he could see it now! If your tummy starts to rumble, Field Station Dinosaurs has you covered with freshly popped popcorn, frozen treats, drinks and plenty of  food choices. There is a covered tent with tables to enjoy your lunch under. If you child loves it at Field Station Dinosaur you can set up a birthday party that will take place in a private camping tent filled with tables and plenty of room to celebrate the big day!
There is also a new addition to the park this year. A fantastic 3D Dinosaur movie!
 This will really get you into the dinosaur frame of mind. Roar!
Just remember when you visit Field Station Dinosaurs to dress comfortably. The dinosaurs won’t mind if they see you in your sneakers. The park is completely outdoors with the exception of a few covered stations.
Bring plenty of suntan lotion and water along for the day. You can make the day as long or short as you would like. Honestly, you can spend a full day there if you take advantage of everything offered by the park.
For my teacher friends, this is a must! The students would love it and it’s very manageable.
I just loved how close this amazing park is to all of us in NJ and NYC. 
If you haven’t visited yet, definitely put it on your to do list for this summer!

Anyone that knows me, knows how much my entire family loves to travel.

Another love in our lives has been Sesame Place. Since becoming a Sesame Place Ambassador Blogger
for the past two years, our family has been spending even more time at the park.
After a full day of swimming, dancing, and shows, there is nothing more comforting than knowing there is a 
comfortable, cool, crispy clean room waiting for us at the end of your day.

What can top that you may be wondering. How about knowing that you can WALK to that room!
That’s right, the new SpringHill Suites Langhorne, is right across the street from Sesame Place. It’s very walkable for both adults and children. Below I have a video of my children walking the path. Honestly you will not believe your eyes. The hotel is practically inside of the parking lot. If a full day in the park is too much for your little ones, this is the perfect choice.

You can walk back to the room, take a little nap, cool off, and then go back over to Sesame Place.
Now, even if SpringHill Suites was not across the street, I would still recommend it! I love a hotel that is clean! That is at the top of my list. This is the second time we have stayed there and I still do not have a complaint. The last time we enjoyed the King Size room. This time we stayed in the room with two queen sized beds. Both rooms were amazing. The rooms are broken into a bedroom section and a sitting area
with queen sized sleeper couch, desk area with chair and also a microwave/fridge section. 
What else do you need? Oh, I know, how about breakfast included with your room rate! For a full list of hotel amenities and services click here.

So, you can stay right across the street from Sesame Place, breakfast included, no parking fee, and the rooms are clean- I am SO sold on this hotel! Be sure to book this hotel in advance. I can’t imagine once the word gets out that there will many rooms left to spare.
In addition to all of this, SpringHill Suites Langhorne has added a new Sesame Street Playroom for the little ones- complete with a bunch of beanbag and Elmo chairs, toys and everything you can imagine to keep your little one happy! There is also a tv that features non-stop Sesame Street action! What a unique feature!
