Most of the people that know me already know that Keith Urban is one of my favorite country artists. I find his music incredibly inspiring and easy to listen to anytime of the day. He is actually one of our family favorites. When we were invited to the concert this year, we were all very excited about the experience. Keith was fantastic in concert last weekend in Philly. I love his  new barless stage that allows the fans to “Get Closer”. Keith Urban has a way of playing that makes you feel as it you are the only one in the room of thousands. His personality is vibrant and his music spectacular. He also sang some of my favorite songs, including “I’m In”, “Put You In A Song”,”Days Go By”, and my personal favorite”Till Summer Comes Around”.

Last year I had the pleasure of meeting Keith Urban face to face at KC Masterpiece’s Real Deal. My family was chosen and were invited to a personal Backstage BBQ sponsored by KC Masterpiece. Thousands and thousands of people were milliing about as our select group was whisked away to a special location where we could listen to Keith Urban’s music, dine on delicious foods, that were enhanced by KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce, of course meet Keith Urban. The meet and greet was wonderful and Kieth Urban could not have been any nicer. He posed for pictures, chatted, and even was kind enough to give my sons some guitar picks. It’s a memory I will treasure forever.

So, upon saying that, it’s your chance to meet Keith Urban yourself. Never believe that it can’t happen, because it can. At the Phila. concert I spoke to a few of the winners that had just returned from the meet and greet. They did nothing but rave about KC Masterpiece and the wonderful time that had meeting Keith Urban. The submitted a photo of themselves posed with a bottle of KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce on Facebook and were luckily chosen! There are still two chances left in the USA and you could be part of the fun.
It’s simple to enter! If you are in the Kansas City, Missouri or San Jose, California area, or can get there in time for the concert, take a chance and enter!

I can’t even begin to tell you how thrilled I was to review Dr. Scholl’s Shoes: Women’s Update Sandals.
I really only have one goal this summer: Comfort!
It was a long and rough winter with 30 inches of snow falling the day before my birthday back in December and I think from that moment on, I had a mental countdown to summer,
especially July.
It was most likely at that point that I was looking forward to the comfort and relaxation of summer. After spending months in boots, I was really looking forward to making the transition into sandals.

 arrived in the mail to review, it was great!
 I already had a pair of summer sandals, but they really were not doing it for me. They were cutsy enough, but the comfort level really lacked in them.

From the minute I opened the Dr. Scholl’s Shoe box,
 I loved the sandals.
The style was completely unexpected!
 I had seen Dr. Scholl’s Shoes line of sandals in the past, but I never realized just how fashionable they had styled their sandals. I was immediately pleased!
Then, I thought, “Could they look so nice and still be comfortable?”.
 I grabbed them right  out of the box and had to try them on.
I am happy to tell you that the style matched the comfort! Wow!

I almost could not believe how soft they were on my feet. They had a slipper feel, but with the quality of a sandal. Perfect!
The day I received the sandals we were on our way to the zoo. I wondered if I should dare try them out going to place where I would be doing massive walking. I decided to give them a try. I brought a pair of sneakers along just in case it did not work out, but I am happy to report that I never had to use the sneakers!
I must admit that my new Dr. Scholl’s Shoes: Women’s Update have been my favorite sandals this summer!

Screening Review: Winnie The Pooh Movie

Winnie the Pooh has always been a family favorite around our house. For years, especially as babies, I can remember spending hours singing Pooh Bear songs and playing stuffed animals with my children. We still are a Pooh family, especially since my youngest daughter is only four. Let me tell you, she fits right in, especially last year at Disney World when she insisted on getting the biggest Pooh Bear she could find and bringing him on the Winnie The Pooh ride. He of course spent the rest of the day in her stroller, as she walked along-side, singing the Pooh song the entire time!
So, you can imagine how excited we all were when we heard about the Winnie the Pooh movie. We were really thrilled when we had a chance to go for an early screening in NYC, thanks to Mommyslinks.
Winnie The Pooh, the movie, was absolutely adorable.
 If you are a Pooh fan, don’t miss it. The movie stays true to Pooh. The story is entertaining and the  use of the book words is just delightful!
Of course, one of my favorite scenes had to be Pooh and his
Honey Dreams! I won’t give the story away, but I will tell you this, it was just wonderful to see the entire Winnie the Pooh gang complete with Christopher Robin on the big screen.

If you adore Winnie the Pooh, you know who you are, don’t miss chance to see him at the theater! Now for a bit of a tip: Don’t leave your seat until after the credits! You won’t want to miss the very last clip!
It’s worth the wait!

Turtle Back Zoo

When the summer comes around, I am always look for a day trip to go on with the family. It’s fun to go somewhere close and fun. Recently, I was invited to check out the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange, NJ. I have gone to Turtle Back Zoo before, but I must say, every time I go the zoo gets bigger and better!

I absolutely love Turtle Back Zoo. It’s the perfect size zoo for a day trip and a place you can visit over and over again. My middle son and daughter loved the prairie dogs display. There is an underground tunnel that you can duck down into and go with your child, or older children can go into alone. When they pop up they are in the middle of a prairie dog habitat! What a super experience! My children loved it!



Another wonderful feature of Turtle Back Zoo is something called a Zoo Key. A Zoo Key hangs on a necklace and can be used in story boxes that are found next to many of the animal displays. One side of the key plays a catchy tune about the animal, the other side tell some facts about the same animal. The Zoo Key is only $3.00 and well worth it!
The walk around the zoo was so refreshing and quite a learning experience. It was wonderful to see penguins, bison, elk, and highland cattle just going about their business as we looked on.
Of course we did have to stop at the beautiful animal themed carousel. What a delightful addition to the zoo!
As our day at the zoo continued we came across more and more exciting exhibits. While inside the Bear House, the bear walked right up to the window. What a fantastic experience to have just a window between you and a big brown bear!
If you are looking for a hands on experience with animals, Turtle Back Zoo is the right place. There are pony rides, a petting zoo, and my personal favorite The Aviary. On the way into the aviary you can purchase a flat stick coated with bird seeds and then feed the birds as they land right on your stick! Wow! If you love birds, this is the place for you.

So, if you are looking for a fun day out with the family, friends, or just a day to yourself, I cannot think of a better place that you could be than Turtle Back Zoo. We finished up our trip with checking out more exhibits such as the alligator, red panda, leopard, the reptile house and more! Of course we could not leave until we took a ride on the train that takes you on a scenic ride through the woods and we finished up with some ice-cream and cotton candy!
Wow! It’s hard to believe Turtle Back Zoo is right here in Essex County! What a treasure. If you have a chance, please check out Turtle Back Zoo! You will not be disappointed.
