Every time I hear the word Smurf, I can’t help but smile. Since being a long time fan of the little blue sweethearts I can’t help but wonder what they will be up to next. It gives me happiness to be able to share my Smurf love with my children. We were thrilled to be invited to the NYC Blue Carpet Screening Premiere of The Smurfs 2 at the Lighthouse Theater this past weekend.  The movie was simply adorable. If you have children under three it may be a bit scary, but that would be up to you. There are so many laughable moments, even the adults were breaking out into some belly-laughing moments.

The Blue Carpet Screening event  was action packed with the Smurfs on hand to greet both children and adults. The photo booth where you could get your picture as a Smurf kept everyone smiling and no one complained as they filled up on popcorn and treats. Not to mention that the theater was celeb packed. Hank Azaria (Gargamel) was in the mix with his wife an son. They were so adorable with Papa Smurf! Christina Ricci was there, beautiful as ever and very sweet to chat with. There were too many others in the Blue Carpet crowd to even count including Anthony Edwards and Fatima Ptacek(voice of Dora). Everyone was there to watch the movie and mixed and mingled with anyone who wanted to chat!

The Smurfs 2 has a returning cast that includes Katy Perry as Smurfette and Hank Azaria as Gargamel, Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays,Brendan Gleeson joins the cast as Victor Winslo.
The sequel to Sony’s animated family comedy, The Smurfs, has the evil wizard Gargamel who creates a couple of mischievous Smurf-like creatures called the Naughties. He hopes they will let him harness the all-powerful, magical Smurf-essence by revealing the secret formula that Smurfette was given in confidence by Papa Smurf. He discovers that only a real Smurf can give him what he wants, and only a secret spell that Smurfette knows can turn the Naughties into real Smurfs. This is when Gargamel kidnaps Smurfette and brings her to Paris, where he has been winning the adoration of millions as the world¹s greatest sorcerer. It’s up to Papa, Clumsy, Grouchy, and Vanity to return to our world, reunite with their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow, and rescue her! Will Smurfette, who has always felt different from the other Smurfs, find a new connection with the Naughties Vexy and Hackus  or will the Smurfs convince her that their love for her is True Blue?

Recently I had the pleasure of attending a VIP Cocktail Party on the 45th floor of the The Towers at the  newly renovated New York Palace Tower Suites. The Royal Suite can be used for much more than 
a cocktail party though. Of course I took my hubby to the cocktail party with me in hopes he would be sparked to maybe bring me back on a later date. During the event we were privileged to a private tour of the Royal Suite which included 
room after room of over the top luxury. Each room had a view to die for of the beautiful
city of NYC. Since we arrived just before sunset, you can take my word for it that the view is beautiful during the light and breathtaking at night with the lights of the buildings twinkling in every direction.

    Rainbow Toaster Oven S’mores
    Our family loves s’mores! We have been fans for years, lol!
    The rainbow toaster oven s’mores came about from everyone wanting cookies.
    No cookies were in the house or cookie ingredients, but there were
    graham crackers and marshmallows and tiny bits of chocolate.
    There was a toaster oven, so we were set!
    We never made them before, but we will make them again.
    So easy to make and they smell so good!
    We just took a tiny bit of chocolate. If you have a Hershey’s bar, it’s about one mini square 
    for each graham cracker. Surround the chocolate piece with fruity marshmallows.
    I put them into the toaster oven uncovered so I could watch them carefully.
    In about one-two minutes they were ready to be topped off with the second 
    graham cracker. Press them down and wha-la!
    Don’t forget to give them about 5 minutes before eating them, so they can cool down a bit.
    My daughter just stacked them up for fun!
    If we were making a bunch I would definitely stack them to serve them!
    They are good hot, warm or cool!
