Every Disney Junior fan around is going to love this great news! All summer long, new episodes of “Sofia the First” and hit series “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” will alternate with Friday premieres FRIDAY, JUNE 14 – FRIDAY, AUGUST 23 on both Disney Channel (9:00 a.m. ET/PT) and Disney Junior (5:00 p.m. ET/PT)

What a line up! This is going to be just as enjoyable for the parents as it will be for the kids! Notable guest stars include Academy Award nominee Viola Davis (“The Help”) and Megan Mullally (“Will & Grace”) on “Sofia the First,” and Jerry O’Connell (“Crossing Jordan”) on “Jake and the Never Land Pirates.” Classic Disney Princess Jasmine, voiced by Linda Larkin (“Aladdin”) and sung by Broadway legend Lea Salonga (“Miss Saigon”), makes her debut appearance on “Sofia the First.”
The “Pirate and Princess Summer” event takes place across all Disney Junior digital platforms including Disney Junior On Demand, WATCHDisney Junior and iTunes, as well as an immersive online super-site on DisneyJunior.com featuring new episode specific activities and games to “unlock” each week with a special token showcased during each episode premiere. 

Get our your best Pirate and Princess outfits because beginning Friday, June 14, parents and caregivers can log on to DisneyJunior.com/Summer and upload the photos of their child dressed as a pirate or princess for the chance to be featured as the “Pirate/Princess of the Day” on Disney Junior. What an incredible chance to see your own little pirate or princess on the Disney Junior Channel.

Among the premieres are an episode of “Sofia the First” featuring Princess Jasmine, Friday, June 14 (9:30 a.m. ET/PT); Jerry O’Connell guest starring as a pirate genie in search of a treasure wishing well on “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” Friday, June 14; Jane Kaczmarek and Teri Hatcher recur in the roles Red Jessica and Beatrice Le Beak, respectively on “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” Friday, June 21; Viola Davis guest starring as Sofia’s energetic Buttercup troop leader on “Sofia the First,” Friday, July 26; and Megan Mullally guest stars asMiss Nettle, a new fairy teacher who Sofia quickly learns is up to no good, on “Sofia the First,” Friday, August 23.  All airtimes are 9:00 a.m. ET/PT unless otherwise noted.
Also this summer, a full “Sofia the First” product line including apparel, home décor, toys and much more will launch at major retailers nationwide for the first time, along with an expanded product line for “Jake and the Never Land Pirates.”

Live in the NJ area? You will definitely want to carve out some time this summer to take the kids to meet the one and only Thomas the Tank Engine! He will be there big as life for your children to ride on. Having two sons and a daughter I have spent years and years surrounded by Thomas and all of his friends. The first time we spent A Day Out With Thomas it was just an amazing experience! It’s a complete family event. I mean, who doesn’t like Thomas? Along with a fun and unique ride there is plenty to do both before and after the ride. So get there early and stay late! You can choose how long you would like the fun to last. 

Thomas is getting ready to ride off the pages of the beloved storybooks and into the hearts of little fans.  Little girls and boys will soon have the opportunity to meet Thomas the Tank Engine in person!  Our favorite No. 1 engine is set to roll into Phillipsburg, NJ for the Day Out with Thomas Go Go Thomas Tour 2013.  All little engineers and their families are invited to take a ride on Thomas and participate in fun Thomas-themed activities.  The event, which takes place July 5,6,7,12,13,14 2013, will be hosted by Delaware River Railroad Excursions and presented by HIT Entertainment.
For 68 years, children have been captivated by the courageous adventures of Thomas and his engine friends.  Pulling out of the station for its 18th consecutive ride on the rails, the Day Out With Thomas: Go Go Thomas Tour 2013 will visit more than 40 cities in the United States and Canada.  Day Out With Thomas is the only place for families to take a ride with a 15-ton replica of everybody’s favorite No. 1 engine, Thomas the Tank Engine, and enjoy Thomas-themed activities at the Imagination Station, including stamps, temporary tattoos and hands-on arts and crafts.  Each year the tour grows, traveling to new destinations, adding new activities and welcoming new visitors.

The day will include a 25 minute (approx) ride on Thomas the Tank Engine, games and activities featuring a
mystery element. A meet and greet with Sir Topham Hatt, a Thomas & Friends Imagination Station featuring
temporary tattoos, hands on arts and crafts, train tables, and coloring sheets. There will also be storytelling,
videos, live music and more!
The approximately 25-minute train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine will depart every hour, rain or shine, with departure times at 10 am through 5 pm each day of the event.  Tickets for the Day Out With Thomas: Go Go Thomas Tour 2013 are $18 plus tax for ages two and up.
