DISNEY STORE CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF NEWLY-DESIGNED
WILLOWBROOK MALL IN WAYNE, NJ

Calling all Disney fans in the New Jersey area! You will not want to miss out on this great day of celebration at the Willowbrook Mall Disney Store! It’s going to be an amazing day and who can resist to meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie! I’m so there! If you can’t get to Disney World soon, this is a perfect way to grab a piece of the magic and add a little pixie dust to your day! On Saturday June 22, Disney Store will celebrate the grand opening of its award-winning new concept store at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ. Disney Store’s new design aims to “Create Magical Moments for Guests of all ages” through immersive experiences, including a Disney Princess castle with magic mirror, translucent magical trees, Disney∙Pixar CARS neighborhood, and the Disney Store Theatre, featuring the latest in Disney entertainment. The interactive shopping destination features magical experiences for Disney fans of all ages to enjoy.
In celebration, one lucky child from a local Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) chapter will “unlock imagination” and officially open the Willowbrook Mall Disney Store location at 10 a.m. on June 22. Disney Store’s signature opening ceremony will take place every day at the Willowbrook Mall location, giving local children an opportunity to create an unforgettable Disney Store experience. The first 500 guests to attend the grand opening celebration will receive a free gift. From noon to 4 p.m., a meet and greet with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will take place in the shopping center’s Exhibit Court with an opportunity for guests to take photos with the characters*.
“Disney Store brings the magic of Disney to life every day in Wayne, NJ,” said Paul Gainer, executive vice president of Disney Retail, “We’ve created an interactive shopping destination that offers technology-infused, engaging experiences for the entire family to enjoy.”
To help celebrate the newest Disney Store, children from the local BGCA will receive the opportunity to enjoy a special shopping experience prior to the grand open, and Disney Store donate 10% of Grand Opening Day’s sales to the local Boys and Girls Clubs of America chapter.
Since launching its new design in 2010, Disney Store has been transforming its stores into magical retail experiences to the delight of guests around the world. As guests enter the store and look above, they will see a unique skyline with iconic Disney storytelling scenes and New Jersey landmarks.
To celebrate the release of Disney∙Pixar ‘s Monsters University in theaters, the Willowbrook Mall Disney Store will offer guests a wide assortment of Monsters University products for fans of all ages, including toys, apparel and accessories.
