Anyone that knows my family, knows how much we love snacking on Pirate’s Booty and Smart Puffs! I was thrilled to find out that Smart Puffs was teaming up with one of my other loves, Monsters University! How much better does it get than that! We had to check them out! Of course we brought our bags of yum to the theater with us and snacked away during the movie, which I might add is a #SummerMustDo! If you have not seen it already, be sure to check it out. You will get quite a few laughs from it on an adult level, too! It really made me think about my own carefree college days and all the friends I have made along the way! 

I was super excited to team up with Smart Puffs and Monsters University to host the great giveaway below. New Jersey is awesome this summer with the NJ State Faie taking over now through July 7th right here in East Rutherford, NJ! Check out all the deals below to save even more money! Not to mention we have 2 Four Packs of Free Admission tickets for you to use ANY NIGHT of the Fair! Tix are for admission only. (Rides are separate).
  1. • Admission is FREE any day for children under 34” (ride tickets available for purchase inside fair)
  2. • Parking is FREE Monday thru Wednesday; $1 Opening Night; $4 other days and July 3
  3. • Opening Dollar Preview Night – Friday, June 21. Admission is $2; Rides, games, parking and select food and drinks cost a dollar each.
  4. • Kids Go Free – Tuesday, June 25; Children 12 and younger are admitted Free. Unlimited Ride Hand Stamps are available for $20 – Parking is Free
  5. • Midnight Madness – Friday night, June 28, from 10 pm to 1 am, rides AND admission are $25.00
  6. • Cheap, Cheap Night – Tuesday, July 2; Admission is $4 for adults and children; a combo admission AND ride is ONLY $21 – Parking is Free

Fair hours are Monday through Thursday, 6 pm to midnight; Fridays 6 pm to 1 am; Saturdays 2 pm to 1 am; Sundays 2 pm to midnight. On opening Dollar Preview Night, June 21, the fair is open 4 pm to 1 am. On Thursday, July 4, the fair is open 2 pm to 1 am, and on Friday, July 5 from 2 pm to 1 am.


Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, visitors to the NBC 4 and New York Giants Health & Fitness Expo, a free event being held inside MetLife Stadium, will get a free hand stamp to enter State Fair between the hours of 11 and 2 pm. The expo runs from 11 am to 6 pm. All Bargain Nights are listed at NJFairBargainNight


State Fair Meadowlands is the largest fair in the New York metro area, with over 150 rides and attractions on over 35 acres of fairgrounds. Entertainment is always free with entry ticket, providing fairgoers with all-day access to the Racing Pigs, the Big Cat Encounter, Circus Maximus, Hypnotist Steve Bayner, and more. Acres and acres of delicious food will be on offer, including gyros, sausage and peppers, Hibachi, corn dogs, funnel cakes, turkey legs, blooming onions, candied apples, curly fries, deep-fried Oreos, corn on the cob, ice cream, and more.

This year, Sprint will be sponsoring a special event called NBA Nation Tour, which will offer fairgoers the chance to meet and greet past and present NBA players, try out an agility course and competitive skills challenge. The Tour, which will take place inside the fairgrounds, is FREE with Fair admission and is scheduled for Friday, June 28, 6 pm to 1 am; Saturday, June 29, 2 pm to 1 am; and Sunday, June 30, 2 pm to 12 am. Parking is free Monday through Wednesday, and $4 Thursdays through Sundays, and July 3rd. Opening night, parking is just $1. The fair will be offering free shuttle buses from/to Secaucus Junction Fridays 6 pm to midnight (excludes Opening Day); Saturdays, 4 pm to midnight; Sundays, from 4 pm to midnight; July 3 from 6 pm to midnight; and July 4, from 4 pm to midnight. Calling all Disney fans in the New Jersey area! You will not want to miss out on this great day of celebration at the Willowbrook Mall Disney Store! It’s going to be an amazing day and who can resist to meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie! I’m so there! On Saturday June 22, Disney Store will celebrate the grand opening of its award-winning new concept store at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ. In celebration, one lucky child from a local Boys and Girls Club of America (BGCA) chapter will “unlock imagination” and officially open the Willowbrook Mall Disney Store location at 10 a.m. on June 22. Disney Store’s signature opening ceremony will take place every day at the Willowbrook Mall location, giving local children an opportunity to create an unforgettable Disney Store experience.  The first 500 guests to attend the grand opening celebration will receive a free gift. From noon to 4 p.m., a meet and greet with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will take place in the shopping center’s Exhibit Court with an opportunity for guests to take photos with the characters*.
“Disney Store brings the magic of Disney to life every day in Wayne, NJ,” said Paul Gainer, executive vice president of Disney Retail, “We’ve created an interactive shopping destination that offers technology-infused, engaging experiences for the entire family to enjoy.”
To help celebrate the newest Disney Store, children from the local BGCA will receive the opportunity to enjoy a special shopping experience prior to the grand open, and Disney Store donate 10% of Grand Opening Day’s sales to the local Boys and Girls Clubs of America chapter.
Since launching its new design in 2010, Disney Store has been transforming its stores into magical retail experiences to the delight of guests around the world.  As guests enter the store and look above, they will see a unique skyline with iconic Disney storytelling scenes and New Jersey landmarks.
To celebrate the release of Disney∙Pixar ‘s Monsters University in theaters, the Willowbrook Mall Disney Store will offer guests a wide assortment of Monsters University products for fans of all ages, including toys, apparel and accessories.

The Pixie Dust was flying in NYC recently when 
the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration #DSMMC hit the road
and kicked off its tour right here in New York City.
Up until now, I have only been a follower of all the fun. So I was about to
 burst when the magical invitation arrived for the  Disney Social Media Moms event.
What an honor! Little did I know what an energetic crowd of 
empowering women and men  were about to gather in one room.
Being a former teacher, I believe that you never stop learning. Every person and situation
you come across in life is meant to teach you something new.
This conference was no different. Although there was a clear
line that Disney magic was sprinkled throughout the room, 
there was much more to the entire day. 
It was wonderful to be in the company of Maria Bailey (MomTalkRadio)
who was accompanied by Gary Buchanan, none other than the witty 
host of The Disney Parks Blog. If he cannot make you smile, no one ever will!
 He wowed us with details about #MonstorusSummer  . Maria Bailey assured us 
all that by working hard everyday we are teaching our own children to follow
their passions and reach their goals. They learn from us!
We were wowed by our Keynote Speaker, Jenn Lebit, founder of Cottonbabies 
(Also creator of Flip, Econobum, Bumgenius). I loved what she stood for
and it shone through with every word she said, especially when she
suggested that everyone needs to define themselves, be truthful, make a 
plan and follow through, and of course -that leadership comes with a price!
With advice like that, I can understand how Jenn Lebit began her
business with $100 and has grown it into a major business. It was also
inspiring when she suggested we look at how people have failed, so those
same mistakes were not repeated. Excellent advice!

 that I am obsessed with! Check it out!
