Who loves fireworks!!!????? I know my family does, especially when they are right here in New Jersey! State Fair Meadowlands offers the best fireworks west of the Hudson on July 3rd and 4th For two nights of spectacular lights, sounds and color to mark the nation’s birthday. How can anyone in the area resist!? Red, White, and Blue and every color in between will light up the skies over the meadowlands! This year’s fireworks will be put on by Garden State Fireworks, a company run by the Santore family of New Jersey for over 100 years.

About State Fair
State Fair Meadowlands is the largest fair in the New York metro area, with over 150 rides and attractions on over 35 acres of fairgrounds.
Fair hours are Monday through Thursday, 6 pm to midnight; Fridays 6 pm to 1 am; Saturdays 2 pm to 1 am; Sundays 2 pm to midnight. On Thursday, July 3, the fair is open 6 pm to 1 am; on Friday, July 4 from 2 pm to 1 am.
Parking is free Monday through Wednesday, and $5 Thursdays through Sundays.
The fair will be offering free shuttle buses from/to Secaucus Junction on weekends (Fri-Sun) and July 3 and 4. Visithttp://njfair.com/free_shuttle_bus.php  for info.

Tickets on sale now for Inaugural PBR Blue DEF Velocity Tour

This is awesome! Since my family’s first introduction to Professional Bull Riding (PBR) a few years ago we have all been hooked. Bull riding never appeared to be a family fun activity until we tried it. Now everyone in the group from my seven year old daughter to my twenty three year old son enjoy the energy of the event. We were thrilled to hear that PBR would be heading to Prudential Center right in Newark, NJ! Bull riding fans will get the opportunity to experience the toughest sport on dirt when the Professional Bull Riders Blue DEF Velocity Tour bucks into Prudential Center on Saturday, June 28th, 2014.  

During this one day event, the best up and coming bull riders in the world will face off with foes nearly 10 times their weight in sinewy brawn during the most thrilling 8 seconds in sports. Each rider will face off against a least two of the rankest bulls on the planet. At the end of the competition, the rider with the highest combined score will be crowned the champion.  The action begins at 7:00 p.m.


Tickets, ranging in price from $15 to $100 are on sale now.  They can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets, the Prudential Center Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com and via phone at (800) 345-3000.
Newark, NJ will be the 10th stop on the 2014 Blue DEF Velocity Tour.  It kicked off in Reno, Nv. on January 18 and will make stops in cities such as Omaha, Neb., Salt Lake City, Utah, Los Angeles, Calif., Cincinnati, Ohio, Louisville, Ky. and Minneapolis, Minn. this year.
