Tyrannosaurus to the right,  Stegosaurus to the left, Triceratops right in front of you! How can this be? Did I get transported back to the Jurassic time period? No, it’s all right here in Secaucus, NJ!

Welcome to Field Station Dinosaurs! Not far from the NJ turnpike, just a few miles from NYC,  you can find all of your favorite dinosaurs nestled amongst the trees and shrubs that contain realistic dinosaurs. It will make you think twice about what it was like millions of years ago.
If your family is like mine, we are always looking for something fun to do. Who doesn’t like dinosaurs? You can take your children or your friends and enjoy the entire
day at Field Station Dinosaurs. Let your imagination go wild and take you back to
millions of years ago as you think back to what it must have been like when dinosaurs
roamed the earth. Gigantic dinosaurs will tower over you as you follow the path throughout
the park. Each dinosaur is interactive and accompanied by a display board
with the dino’s name and facts. It’s perfect for people like me who can never remember all of the names. By the way, your children will not even realize this is an educational trip.
You may even pick up a few dinosaur facts you never knew about!

Along with walking throughout the park there are many other things to do during your

visit. There are interactive live shows throughout the day. The show theme changes even though the location remains the same, so you can see more than one. We caught two shows during our visit and both were entirely entertaining! There are also stops along the way where you can present your Passport for stamping after completing the activities. There is a coloring tent, building tent, a dinosaur bone digging sand pit (my daughter’s favorite) and many more. You may even get to pet or hold a baby dinosaur!

One little tip when  you visit, don’t forget to venture to the highest point of the park. There are few amazing dinosaurs at the top and also a view of the New York Skyline as a backdrop to the T-Rex! If you take a selfie with him, rage it #Trexselfie and tweet it to @Jerseysaurus. If your tummy starts to rumble, Field Station Dinosaurs has you covered with frozen treats, drinks and plenty of  food choices. There is a covered tent with tables to enjoy your lunch under. If you child loves it at Field Station Dinosaur you can set up a birthday party that will take place in a private camping tent filled with tables and plenty of room to celebrate the big day! My daughter is already hinting that this would be a great place to celebrate her 8th birthday!

There is also A fantastic 3D Dinosaur movie! This will really get you into the dinosaur frame of mind. Roar! Just remember when you visit Field Station Dinosaurs to dress comfortably. The dinosaurs won’t mind if they see you in your sneakers. The park is completely outdoors with the exception of a few covered stations. Bring plenty of suntan lotion and water along for the day. You can make the day as long or short as you would like. Honestly, you can spend a full day there if you take advantage of everything offered by the park. For my teacher friends, this is a must! The students would love it and it’s very manageable.
If you haven’t visited yet, definitely put it on your to do list for this summer! Field Station Dinosaurs definitely made our #SummerMustDo list!

Making Candy Apples Disney Style
I Could Watch This Video All Day Long
#DisneySMMoms

Recently our family had the pleasure of attending the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration held at Disneyland in California. If you usually go to Walt Disney World like our family it’s pretty hard to imagine what the whole Disneyland area is all about. It was thrilled to discover that the Disneyland Park and Resorts had plenty to offer including Downtown Disney! I’m not sure why, but I never knew there was a Downtown Disney in California. What an awesome surprise! It’s not quite as big as the one in Florida but it packs the same punch when it comes to magic, dining and entertainment. Our family loved it! We did end up snacking and dining at Downtown Disney quite a few times during our trip. One our my favorite things to do was to watch the Disney Candy Apples being made right before my very eyes. I have have always admired them, not to mention how delicious they are, but to see them being made right in front of me was just an amazing experinece. Of course I had to record it. Maybe it’s just me, but I loved the whole process. The workers made it seem like it was such a breeze! Meanwhile, I was thinking, “Don’t try this at home”!  It’s one of my favorite videos, even though it’s not one of my best videos. I could just watch it over and over. Who knows, maybe someday I’ll take the plunge and make my own Disney candy apple! Hope you enjoy it! Yum!

I was going to finish this post by telling you which candy apple was my favorite, but I just could not decide. Maybe I better watch the video one more time! lol. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdADqnCKd1s&feature=share&list=UUR9Z0R9Mor-VCP05DRSdVgg&index=5
