Giveaway: Disney Infinity Lives Up!
Just when our family thought that gaming could not get any better, along came Disney Infinity! Thank you Disney for making our family fun a little bit better. From the minute we tried Disney Infinity it was a huge hit in our house! Disney’s latest video game venture, Disney Infinity, certainly lives up to its name. The game, designed to mimic and expand upon the imagination and creativity kids exhibit when playing with toys, offers up countless hours of fun for the whole family, giving kids of all ages the opportunity to mix and match their favorite Disney characters and environments in ways unlike ever before!
With over 15 characters and 5 worlds available now (And more on the way!) there’s plenty to explore, and Disney Infinity gives you the ability to delve as far into those worlds as you want, as well as creating some of your own. The gameplay is quite simple, and divided into two interconnected sections: the story worlds, and the Toy Box. In the worlds (based on such hits as The Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Monsters University), you take on story-based missions and challenges from characters in the films, working to collect stars that mark your progress, as well as buildings and other items to use in the Toy Box. When you enter the Toy Box, accessible as any and all playable characters in the game, you have the freedom to build and play as you please, using the pieces that you’ve acquired through your story mode play and from Power Discs (one of which is included in the starter pack, while others can be found in affordable packs of two at most retailers carrying Infinity products.) Players can not only create and play in their own levels, but also download worlds created by fellow players and by the Disney Infinity developers. Talk about cooperative play!
Speaking of cooperation, the game allows two players to take part in the magic side by side in both story mode and Toy Box mode, which has definitely made it a hit in our house– everybody has given the game a shot at one point or another and had an excellent time playing it together! My boys love the Incredibles and Lone Ranger sets, and my 6 year-old daughter always wants to play the Monsters University section, and can’t stop talking about the Tangled and Frozen characters that are on the way. Disney Infinity is a great game for all of us as it is, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store next!
