Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2
Sony Pictures Animation Nails It When It Comes To Family Fun-
In Theaters Now!
Over the past weekend my family had a chance, thanks to The Moms,
to attend a screening event for Sony Animation’s Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 in NYC.
Meeting up with Barry the Strawberry and other characters from the movie only
heightened the excitement for my six year old daughter who was more than thrilled to get a glimpse at the movie she has been reading books about for months!
Before the movie began we were treated to an early lunch that seemed to have been overtaken by quite a few foodimals including apple pie with eyes and Larry the leeks. There were even hippo baked potatoes.
It did fit right into the theme of the event since while the crowd dined the artzies in the crowd created their own Foodimals from various paper crafts. Emily created a Pretzel + Turtle which was renamed a Prezturtle!
As the private screening approached everyone was a little more than excited. There was chat of expectations and the different characters. Directed by Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 is the sequel to the original movie. The new movie continues the story where the young inventor Flint and his friends must leave their homes to tame the out of control food beasts the foodimals. Help is needed to stop the foodimals but along the way Flint questions himself as to if he is following the correct path. Some of the foodimals do seem quite harmless, even lovable! I don’t want to give the movie away, but this is definitely one to see with your children or family. There are laughs for all!
Bill Hader as Flint Lockwood, Anna Faris as Sam Sparks, James Caan as Tim Lockwood, Andy Sambergas Brent McHale, Neil Patrick Harris as Steve, and Benjamin Bratt as Manny. New cast includes Terry Crews, who replaced Mr. T as Officer Earl; Will Forte, who voiced Joseph Towne in the first film, voices Chester V and Kristen Schaal as orangutan Barb.
