Disney+ and Pixar’s SOUL!

Disney+ and Pixar’s SOUL Now Available!

If you know me, you know that I have been off the grid lately. The bad news is I have missed chatting with everyone as much as I used to BUT the GOOD news it that we are HOME! Our family is finally back home. So, what is the first thing you think we did after unboxing a neverending stack of bins? We took a break and had a Disney+ family movie night! Personally, I have been waiting for Disney+ and Pixar’s all-new animated film, SOUL since I first heard about it. How could I resist a movie set on the streets of NYC and featuring Pixar’s first Black main character, Joe Gardner!?! The movie also is starring the voices of Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Phylicia Rashad, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, Angela Bassett, and many more. It did not disappoint at all and honestly was just what our family needed. If you are looking for a great movie night choice, SOUL is a perfect choice!

Wondering what the movie, SOUL is all about? What is it that makes you…YOU? Pixar Animation Studios’ all-new feature film “Soul” introduces Joe Gardner (voice of Jamie Foxx) – a middle-school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. But one small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Determined to return to his life, Joe teams up with a precocious soul, 22 (voice of Tina Fey), who has never understood the appeal of the human experience. As Joe desperately tries to show 22 what’s great about living, he may just discover the answers to some of life’s most important questions.

Directed by Academy Award® winner Pete Docter (“Inside Out,” “Up”), co-directed by Kemp Powers (“One Night in Miami”) and produced by Academy Award nominee Dana Murray, p.g.a. (Pixar short “Lou”).

Disney and Pixar’s “Soul” is available exclusively on Disney+ (where Disney+ is available)

Disney’s Godmothered Streaming Exclusively On Disney Plus This Holiday Season

Godmothered Streaming Exclusively On Disney Plus

This Holiday Season!

This holiday season is definitely going to be different than many others. It has been a long year filled with many firsts for all of us. This year we all need a little something extra, a little something magical. Last night our family gathered around to watch Disney’s Godmothered, currently streaming exclusively on Disney Plus. Honestly, I had not heard much about the movie and I was okay with that. I’m good with anything that has a little magic in it and throw in a Fairy Godmother and I am hitting utopia. By the way, if any Fairy Godmothers are reading this I could use a sprinkle of magic right about now! Godmothered is a comedy about a delightful energetic- Eleanor ( Julian Bell) who is a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training.

She is determined to help all fairy godmothers from turning into Tooth Fairies, so upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. After some time searching and searching she finds a mislaid letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress. Eleanor can only think of one thing to do and decides to track down this adorable tween. To her surprise, she discovers that the girl, Mackenzie (Isla Fisher), is now a 40-year-old single mom working at a news station in Boston. As the story goes on we find out what has happened to her husband several years earlier.

Sadly, Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After,” including not being there for own daughters emotionally. Luckily for Mackenzie, Eleanor has her own plan which includes MANY ups and downs and laughs along the way. As for me, the eternal cry-er, I did need a few tissue pulls along the way. I’m a total sucker for watching others get their happiness. Elanor is bound and determined to give Mackenzie a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not. As if Mackenzie has a choice, she is no match against a sweet godmother and her magic wand. So, grab your kids, your friends, or just have a little alone time and catch up with Godmothered! You will not regret it. Just my own opinion but Godmothered is viewed best with some microwave popcorn, hot cocoa and a candy cane! I really hope you enjoy this movie. For our family, it was just what we needed. Wondering what your Happily Ever After looks like? Happy Holidays! Let me know what you think anywhere at @3decades3kids.

In this imaginative origin story of two of the most beloved characters in literature – Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland – eight-year-old Alice (Keira Chansa), her mischievous brother Peter (Jordan A. Nash) and their brilliant older sibling David (Reece Yates) let their imaginations run wild one blissful summer in the English countryside. Encouraged by their parents Jack and Rose (David Oyelowo and Angelina Jolie), the kids’ make-believe tea parties, sword fights and pirate ship adventures come to an abrupt end when tragedy strikes. Peter, eager to prove himself a hero to his grief-stricken and financially-struggling parents, journeys with Alice to London, where they try to sell a treasured heirloom to the sinister pawnshop owner known as C.J. (David Gyasi). Returning home, Alice seeks temporary refuge in a wondrous rabbit hole while Peter permanently escapes reality by entering a magical realm as leader of the “Lost Boys.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Are screenings still first come, first served?
Yes, online screenings are still overbooked like a theater screening to ensure a full turnout. Not
everyone that RSVPs will be available to view. Approximately one hour before the screening
starts, you will receive your link to view the screening. As soon as you click the link you reserve
your spot to view the screening, just like getting in line for a theater screening. The sooner you
click the link, the better chance you have at reserving your spot. Once your spot is reserved,
you can keep the browser window open, or if you close it, you can still rejoin with your spot
reserved with the same link in your email.
What happens if I lose connection with my computer?
If you lose connection or need to pause the video, you may be allotted a brief amount of time to
rejoin the screening. This allotment is typically 15-30 minutes, but depending on the security
features for certain movies, this is not guaranteed. If you pause for longer than this period, the
movie will automatically resume and pausing will no longer be available. If you are disconnected
for an extended period, you will not be able to rejoin.
Why is my name/email on the video?
You are watching a special screening of the film before its official release. For security reasons,
the watermark and other anti-piracy measures are in place.
What devices can I use to watch the screening?
Our online screenings are compatible with most computers, laptops, and mobile devices. We
recommend Chrome or Firefox (Safari and Edge are also supported). For the best experience,
we recommend watching on a large screen versus a mobile device.
How can I watch it on my TV?
If you connect a computer or laptop to your TV via HDMI, you would be able to view there. Due
to security and anti-piracy measures, certain cast options such as Airplay or Fire TV Stick are
restricted.
Can I pause the screening?
Typically yes, you may be allotted a brief amount of time should you need to pause. This
allotment is roughly 15-30 minutes – should you exceed this time, the movie will automatically
resume and pausing will no longer be available. Depending on the security features for certain
movies, this is not guaranteed.
Can I watch on multiple devices?
No, unfortunately you are only able to watch from a single device. Once you start viewing the
screening, you must continue with that device for the rest of the film.
Page says: Screening already started.
Screenings begin promptly at their start time, and unfortunately, once that time passes we
cannot admit anyone else to start viewing. Keep an eye out for future events to view another
screening soon!
– Page says: Link Already Used.
Each viewer for screenings will receive a unique link to view. This link is only valid for one user.
If you attempt to share the link with others, you will be removed from the screening.
– I am seeing buffering with the video.
Please ensure your device does not have any ongoing downloads or streams in the background
– for example downloading a video game or streaming a different video in another tab may affect
performance. In the video player, you can click the settings option to change quality (or set to
auto) to reduce buffering.
– The video isn’t playing.
Check your Internet connection to ensure you have a good network signal. After that, if you are
still having an issue, ensure you have the most updated version of your browser. You can also
try restarting your browser or computer/device. We recommend Chrome or Firefox (Safari and
Edge are also supported).
