“Frozen in Ice celebrates the beauty and elegance of winter, with awe-inspiring exhibits and ‘cool’ activities for the whole family. Bring the kids and let them slide down the huge 50-foot-long ice slide, tour an ice cabin, and take a selfie while sitting on a giant-sized throne,” said Al Dorso, President of Skylands Stadium. “There will also be a gold-mine maze, featuring old-fashioned gold miners as well as Miners baseball players, all sculpted in ice by the area’s leading ice sculpture artists.” The indoor exhibit at the Skylands Stadium Event Center will also include an all-ice horse-drawn carriage, working lighthouse, carved boat, an ice bar and ice lounge complete with cocktails and wine tasting for adults. Kids and adults can test their skills at carnival games. Cupa Cabana will be serving hot chocolate, coffee, cappuccino and espresso. The stadium’s in-house caterer, wheelHouse Kitchen + Bar, will be providing hot food for the whole family.
Outdoors, visitors can check out the stadium pavilion for live ice-carving demonstrations and competitions on the weekends. Out on the baseball field, visitors can build snowmen and take a wagon ride, weather permitting. Or, visit the fire pit to make s’mores.
