Sesame Place Neighborhood Street Party Parade Night Time Parade Commercial Shoot!

Sesame Place
Neighborhood Street Party
Parade
Commercial Taping at Sesame Place
Last night I was pleasantly surprised to be a part of the
Sesame Place commercial taping of the
NEW night time parade!
I have already seen the new parade a few times
since the park opened on
April 30th for the 2011 season.
Neighborhood Street Party Parade has the perfect
name because it is just that,
a combination of a party and a parade all in one!
Since we really enjoyed the parade during the day,
my family and I could hardly wait to see it in the dark.
We arrived just before the sunset.

It was wonderful to see the sun go down around Sesame Place
and the production crew set up for the night taping.
They greeted the actors and crowd of extras (which we were a part of) with directions and enthusiasm. Everyone was excited in anticipation of what was to come. Families were taken to Sesame Street, set up and given a spot. Our family was thrilled to be offered the Fire Truck! The props were given out, and soon after the  director gave out the “Roll Em” call! There really wasn’t much acting to do once the parade began. Everyone could not help but sing, clap and dance to the happy music!
The parade features songs that help children learn about
 numbers, letters, and friendship!
One song is more energetic than the next!
The fun went on and on as we waved and danced along with
Elmo, The Count, Bert and Ernie, Abby Cadabby, Zoe, Cookie Monster, Rosita, Big Bird and Telly!

You can already have fun with the day time parade
at Sesame Place, but to see the night time version you will have to wait until June 18th at 9pm.
If you are going to Sesame Place,
make sure you don’t miss out on this night time fun!
You won’t be disappointed!
As, for the commercial shoot,
I don’t think we made it into any of the clips,
but it sure was great to be a part of all the fun!
Commercials will start to air in June!
Meet you at Sesame Place!

Sesame Place Offers Off Season Parties!!

Sesame Place Offers Off Season Birthday Parties!

Anyone that knows me, knows that I love Sesame Place! I mean with three children, the oldest turning 20 next month, one in the middle and little one just turning 4, I have been going to Sesame Place forever!

I was thrilled to find out that Sesame Place in Langhorne, Pa offers some great party opportunities during their off season. As you may already know, you can book a birthday http://www.sesameplace.com/sesame2/plan.aspx?id=birthday-parties-may—october/graduation http://www.sesameplace.com/sesame2/plan.aspx?id=graduation party at Sesame Place during the season (May-October), but I had no idea you could have your child’s birthday party there when the park was not in full swing.

During the months of November through March you can enjoy a family and friends birthday party right inside of Sesame Place. The party is held indoors along with access to an indoor show! How excited would any child be to have this as their birthday party? The party even includes a meet and greet with a character and a private character 20 minute interactive show! Wow! It makes me wish I had an “off season” baby!

Sea World Orlando

Sea World Orlando

Recently our family had the pleasure of visiting Sea World Orlando! Our day was filled with fun, learning, and a lot of splashes!
Sea World immediately captivated my family. Our first stop (which was a hard choice) was to feed the dolphins. It was great for all the kids and hubby and me, too! We all lined
up, held up the fish and “like magic” the dolphins appeared.
Emily, Adam, and Louie all had a chance to not only feed, but also pet the dolphins. After leaving the dolphin area, we made a quick stop at the Stingray area where everyone took turns petting stingrays.

Next on our list was Manta! Now that is some roller coaster! Before actually boarding the ride you walk through a wonderful tropical fish paradise. It surrounds you. As you get closer to boarding the ride you realize you will be hooked on to the belly of the Manta, you ride this face down. It gives you the feeling that you are actually flying and comes very close to the water. Manta has a bunch of loops that make this ride unique and tons of fun! My oldest son had to admit that it did top his old favorite of Kraken!
The rest of our day was filled with seeing penguins, sharks, sea turtles and sea lions! Of course I cannot forget to mention the Polar Bears! They are always a favorite of mine and so is the Wild Arctic Ride!
My 3 year old daughter had a ball at Shamu’s Happy Harbor. It was just her size! Our night was topped off with “Shamu Rocks” followed by fireworks! I could not have asked for more! My family LOVES Sea World and looks forward to our next visit!

Sesame Place Halloween

Sesame Place Halloween -The Count’s Spooktacular

Looking for an adorable place

to take your preschooler (and a little 0lder ) children trick or treating for Halloween and the weekends leading up to it?
We had the pleasure of going to Sesame Place this weekend. They had so many Halloween activities we could not even do them all in one day! The park is open 10-6 and will keep you hopping from one activity to the next. Our family had fun immediately upon arriving by taking a fun hay ride! The character on our hay ride was Telly Monster! We also had a nice hostess who sang songs and told stories! Once we entered the park the kids immediately wanted to Trick or Treat! There were so many stations set up throughout the park! We went to some fun Halloween themed shows
where the characters were dressed in Halloween costumes. Our family favorite was The Not Too Spooky Halloween Show, which included a fun ending with the song Thriller! We could not leave without relaxing a bit and watching The Rock Around the Block Parade, since the parade will change next season. We also played a few of the fun games and my son was lucky enough to win the jumbo Frog! The day could not have been any more fun! Happy Sesame Halloween! http://www.sesameplace.com/sesame2/
