The Bad Guys In Theaters April 22

The Bad Guys- In Theaters April 22

Recently our family had the pleasure of attending a Universal/ Dreamworks NYC advanced special screening of  The Bad Guys. We were treated to an event filled with fun, laughs, family and friends and of course, the movie! I was not quite sure what the movie would be about so that left me with an open mind to check it out.

The Bad Guys is an action-comedy from DreamWorks Animation, Our family had loved Dreamworks for years, so we were definitely looking forward to seeing the movie. It’s based on the New York Times best-selling book series titled the same as the movie.  It does not take long to start laughing along with this group of animal outlaws who are scheming at their chance to put their evil plan into action. But they find it hard to ponder that they may have to face up to the most challenging con yet, becoming model citizens. You can join them on one wild ride of a movie. There are plenty of laughs for the entire family. Check out everything about The Bad Guys movie here.

You and your children will fall in love with these five friends known as The Bad Guys! Before I tell you about the main five characters, let me tell you I was THRILLED to have a character named after ME,   Diane Foxington, voiced by Zazie Beetz, now the Governor of California definitely has her work cut out for her. Good thing she is a shrewd fox who can hold her own. Of course, she wasn’t just my favorite character because of the name, but you will have to see the movie to get all the details about her. Note, I did love her lipstick!

Now let’s get to the main five who make up The Bad Guys. There is Mr. Wolf who lives up to his name he is a great and talented pickpocket.  Mr. Wolf (Academy Award® winner Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri). Mr. Snake is a one-of-a-kind safecracker. I absolutely loved his personality! Mr. Snake (Marc Maron, GLOW).  When it comes to total chill the master-of-disguise is Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson, Hot Tub Time Machine franchise). Mr. Piranha is about as hilarious as he is short-fused. But his “muscle” may just get the Bad Guys out of a mess. Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos, In the Heights). Last up is the super sharp-tongued expert hacker Ms. Tarantula. She is simply as adorable as she is sneaky and clever. Ms. Tarantula (Awkwafina, Crazy Rich Asians).

After years of getting away with countless major heists and being the world’s most-wanted villains, The Bad Guys are finally caught! With absolutely no intention of keeping it, Mr. Wolf strikes up a deal that may save the five friends for spending a lifetime in prison. He promises that The Bad Guys will turn to The Good Guys! That’s not exactly a goal that all five of the friends plan on carrying out. The Bad Guys start to unravel as they try to put their best paw (foot) forward to gain attention and turn a corner on being evil.

Enter their mentor Professor Marmalade (Richard Ayoade, Paddington 2), who is an adorable but very arrogant guinea pig, The Bad Guys set out to fool the world that they’ve been transformed. Along the way, though, Mr. Wolf begins to suspect that doing good for real may give him what he’s always secretly longed for acceptance. So when a new villain threatens the city, can Mr. Wolf persuade the rest of the gang to become … The Good Guys?

The film co-stars Zazie Beetz (Joker), Lilly Singh (Bad Moms), and Emmy winner Alex Borstein (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). Based on the blockbuster Scholastic book series by Aaron Blabey, The Bad Guys is directed by Pierre Perifel (animator, of the Kung Fu Panda films), making his feature directing debut.    Walker Scobell To Play Title Role In Disney+ Epic Live-Action Adventure Series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”

Walker Scobell To Play Title Role In Disney+ Epic Live-Action Adventure Series

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians”

Diane Sullivan/ Walker Scobell-2022

Walker Scobell (“The Adam Project”) has been cast in the titular role in Disney+’s fantastical live action series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians,” it was announced today by the streaming service. The epic adventure is based on—and closely aligned with—Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series by award-winning author Rick Riordan. The Disney Branded Television series, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios, and will go into production this summer.

“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.

Percy Jackson is a smart and compassionate kid with a sharp sense of humor. He’s always seen himself as an outsider, in no small part because of how the world sees his ADHD and dyslexia. He’s impulsive and rambunctious and is quick to anger when things seem unfair to him. But beneath his cynicism is an affectionate son and loyal friend who just wants to do right by those he cares about. If only he could find a place where he fits in.

Riordan and Jon Steinberg will serve as writers of the pilot episode, and James Bobin will direct. Steinberg will oversee the series with his producing partner Dan Shotz. Steinberg and Shotz serve as executive producers alongside Bobin, Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen, Jim Rowe and The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg.

About Walker Scobell

When Walker Scobell was five, he learned that his favorite superhero Tony Stark – AKA Iron Man – was not an actual person but an actor playing a role. He decided right then that he wanted to become an actor. He said if he couldn’t become a superhero in real life, the next best thing would be to play one. After attending an actor’s workshop in L.A., Walker began his professional career. His first film acting role was in “The Adam Project,” and he filmed his second movie, “Secret Headquarters,” soon after. Walker loves the movie-making process and has fun utilizing his flipping and jumping abilities to perform many of his own stunts. He enjoys a variety of movie genres but always comes back to where it began for him – superheroes. At the top of his list of movie favorites are “Deadpool,” “Spider-Man” and “The Avengers.” When Walker is not acting, he enjoys spending time with his family, his friends, and his dogs. He also enjoys skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, lacrosse, and swimming.

King’s Hawaiian Slider Sunday

King’s Hawaiian Slider Sunday

Our family just loves sliders! I know if I ask anyone what they want for Sunday dinner the answer will be SLIDERS! Recently our family had a chance to test out King’s Hawaiian Slider Sunday. Every Sunday is Slider Sunday! This Sunday I went with a family fave- pork sliders, so delicious! Click here to see our 3decades3kids King’s Hawaiian prep video.

Wondering how King’s Hawaiian began?  Back in the 1950’s in Hilo, Hawaii Robert R. Taira, the Hawaiian-born son of Japanese immigrants had an idea! Robert graduated at the top of his baking class, opened his first bake shop: Robert’s Bakery. That’s where the very first soft round loaves of the Original Hawaiian Sweet bread were made. The dedication still goes on today many years later with expansions and King’s Hawaiian being available in our local stores!

Our family created a Slider Bar for the first time ever, but it will not be the last! I cooked up some pork chops smothered in BBQ sauce and pineapples and when they were done I shredded the pork and added more BBQ sauce.  You can visit King’s Hawaiian by clicking here.

Nobody has ever failed so hard at trying to be good as The Bad Guys.

In the new action comedy from DreamWorks Animation, based on the New York Times best-selling book series, a crackerjack criminal crew of animal outlaws are about to attempt their most challenging con yet—becoming model citizens.

Never have there been five friends as infamous as The Bad Guys—dashing pickpocket Mr. Wolf (Academy Award® winner Sam Rockwell, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), seen-it-all safecracker Mr. Snake (Marc Maron, GLOW), chill master-of-disguise Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson, Hot Tub Time Machine franchise), short-fused “muscle” Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) and sharp-tongued expert hacker Ms. Tarantula (Awkwafina, Crazy Rich Asians), aka “Webs.”

But when, after years of countless heists and being the world’s most-wanted villains, the gang is finally caught, Mr. Wolf brokers a deal (that he has no intention of keeping) to save them all from prison: The Bad Guys will go good.

Under the tutelage of their mentor Professor Marmalade (Richard Ayoade, Paddington 2), an arrogant (but adorable!) guinea pig, The Bad Guys set out to fool the world that they’ve been transformed. Along the way, though, Mr. Wolf begins to suspect that doing good for real may give him what he’s always secretly longed for: acceptance. So when a new villain threatens the city, can Mr. Wolf persuade the rest of the gang to become … The Good Guys?

Canvas Prints

If you know me, you know how precious making family memories is to our family. You also know ow our family is trying to decorate our walls with happy pictures of good times. So, even though it is not Halloween by a long shot, our family just loves Halloween! When I had the opportunity to partner with Printique I knew the perfect photo memory I wanted to create. I knew exactly where I wanted to place it in the house and honestly, it made my heart smile.

Boxed securely!

This photo was just a perfect moment in time. A moment where I did not think of any of our problems or stresses. It was just a moment in time I wish I could have frozen and now by getting that photo out of my phone and onto canvas I literally have frozen that happy moment to look at over and over again. The 8×10 wrapped canvas sells for $29.99 and is worth every penny. It’s a quality print and looks exactly like the photo I submitted. The canvas arrived securely in its box and really for placement on the wall. I loved it from the moment I opened the box~ and I love it even more now it’s in a special place in our house. Do you have a special memory you would like to look at over and over again? Don’t leave it in your phone, make it a part of your home. Put it somewhere that you can see it and make yourself smile every day.

Perfect for the fireplace mantle.
I loved it from the moment I opened the box!

In addition to the wrapped canvas print I ordered, there were a ton of other products available! They have everything from prints to ceramic mugs, photo books, wood prints, leather albums, and more. It is a great site for ordering gifts for family and friends, but more importantly, it’s a place for you to grab those most special pics that are sitting on your phone and get them printed so everyone can share that happiness you see when you look at those pics.
