Six Flags Prepares for the British Invasion Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain to Arrive June 8

Six Flags Prepares for the British Invasion
Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain to Arrive June 8

Six Flags Great Adventure will host roller coaster enthusiasts from The Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain during their “Le Monstre Bash” tour June 8. Their annual North America trip will bring 54 of its members to the Jackson theme park to ride 11 adrenaline-pumping roller coasters.

The Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain is a non-profit organization.  Andy Hine, club chairman, founded the group in 1988 as a way for people who shared his passion for roller coasters to come together. Today, the club has grown to include more than 1,200 members from 15 different countries.
Trip attendees will spend two weeks in the U.S. and plan to ride from 80 to 100 different roller coasters along the East Coast and into Canada. According to Hine, members are excited to test the internationally-recognized El Toro, Nitro and Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure. All three, along with Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom which will open soon, recently ranked on USA Today’s top 10 thrill rides list for 2014.

Members recently visited Six Flags Over Georgia outside Atlanta, and will journey to LaRonde in Montreal and more than six other theme parks during their visit.

Summer’s Fun For Everyone Series: Nickelodeon Gets Your Summer Rolling! #Summer

Summer’s Fun For Everyone Series:
Nickelodeon Gets Your Summer Rolling
When it comes to summer our family just can’t help but count down the days. After a long winter, especially this winter, it’s great to spend as much time outside as we possibly can. Swimming and gardening are at the top of our list when it comes to family fun. Recently I was introduced to some of Nickelodeon’s line that really fit into our summer like they were made especially for us.
Emily loves to garden. Planting seeds and flowers is something she talks about as soon as winter has passed by and the sun is shining brightly. We were thrilled to check out some adorable Sponge Bob gardening gloves and tools to make planting much easier. She was also beside herself when she saw the Dora The Explorer water bucket and water sprinkler. I must admit, the whole set up was absolutely adorable. Any little Sponge Bob or Dora fan would just love this.

Of course, besides gardening, our family does log into a lot of summer pool time. We were glad to take along some Nickelodeon towels when we kicked off our summer last weekend. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sponge Bob were perfect pool accessories. We also used, for the very first time, Boca Clips by Better Things. Boca Clips clip your towel onto the chair so it does not blow away. What an awesome thing! Where has this been all my life? We loved them! While other people’s towels were blowing off the chairs, ours were secure. They are also very reasonable in price. It was great to see that we could stick to the whole Nickelodeon theme by using Bull Frog Kids SpongeBob SquarePants Continuous Spray sunscreen. Em loved that it was oil free and had a fun watermelon fragrance! Not to mention that it worked great. We were at the pool for about two hours and she did not show any signs of sunburn. Yay!

One last celebration we have every year at the end of school is the annual bubble buying! We head to the store and gather up a collection of bubbles, bubble blowers, and more. This year we were privileged to test out the new Nickelodeon Giant Bubble Wands by Little Kids. There are plenty of Nickelodeon characters to choose from but we went with Peter Rabbit. They are only $2.99 and it will be the most fun you can get for the least amount of money. They have a long bubble wand that can either be used to blow giant bubbles or a swam of tiny ones. This was a win for everyone. Who doesn’t like bubbles? So much summer fun.
When you are heading out this summer, don’t forget to check out Nickelodeon for some adorable, fun and useful items that you won’t spend a ton a cash on. Happy Summer!

In Theaters July 2nd #EarthToECHO

Every summer our family spends as much time as we can taking in the summer blockbusters. This year we are definitely looking forward to Earth To ECHO. Coming July 2nd I have a feeling we will be in for a real big screen treat! In Relativity’s PG summer family adventure movie, Tuck, Munch and Alex are a trio of inseparable friends whose lives are about to change. Their neighborhood is being destroyed by a highway construction project that is forcing their families to move away. But just two days before they must part ways, the boys begin receiving a strange series of signals on their phones. Convinced something bigger is going on, they team up with another school friend, Emma, and set out to look for the source of their phone signals.  What they discover is something beyond their wildest imaginations: a small alien who has become stranded on Earth.  In need of their help, the four friends come together to protect the alien and help him find his way home.  This journey, full of wonder and adventure, is their story, and their secret. http://callhimecho.com
