Liberty Science Center Sherlock Holmes and Doc Mc Stuffins Winter Exhibits

Liberty Science Center Sherlock Holmes and Doc Mc Stuffins

Recently our family was invited to Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ to check out the new Sherlock Holmes and Doc McStuffins Exhibit.

We were thrilled to adventure through Sberlock Holmes which is an interactive adventure. Our family was transported into the world of Sherlock Holmes’ London location to a world filled with innovation and experimentation in the field of forensic science.

While being hot on the trail of your own case, you’ll learn how the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, solved his cases! You can be just like Sherlock Holmes and see how he was a scientific expert ahead of his time and how he  used seemingly trivial observations of clues others missed to solve mysterious crimes. These were the crimes solved in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous books.

Our family enjoyed following the footprints left behind by someone. We were able to examine the blood splatter patterns, decipher Morse Code and also send codes to one another. We discovered missing items, and above all used our powers of observation to crack the case! This is an absolute must do for any Sherlock Holmes fan! Excellent exhibition!

There is also a Junior detective solving version available for the little ones!

Our family also was delighted to switch gears and head over to the newest preschool exhibit, Doc McStuffins. The littles were able to put on actual doctor’s lab coat, pick up a stethoscope, and perform check-ups on toys! What an incredible opportunity for the preschool set. Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit! Is a hands on interactive experience that will have any child (secretly) learning as they play!

ALEX AND ANI Releases New Holiday Bracelet Benefiting Give Kids The World Village #HolidayGiftGuide

ALEX AND ANI Releases New Holiday Bracelet Benefiting Give Kids The World Village

Most of my family and friends have at least one piece of Alex and Ani jewelry or have heard about it. As for me, I do proudly own a beautiful, “Let it snow” triple bracelet given to me by my oldest son.  Recently our family and blog are honored to partner with Give Kids The World Village,  the Central Florida nonprofit that provides free dream vacations to critically ill children and their families.

I was thrilled to find out that ALEX AND ANI released a new Christmas-themed bangle to benefit Give Kids The World Village. I cannot think of a better gift to give or receive this Christmas season. The Christmas Car bangle will be sold until January 31, 2019 and can be purchased online or at ALEX AND ANI retailers around the country. The company, a dedicated supporter of Give Kids The World, will donate 20 percent of each sale to the nonprofit resort.

ALEX AND ANI has raised over $546,000 for Give Kids The World since the partnership began in 2014. It has helped fund more than 200 wish trips for critically ill children and their families. The free, weeklong trips include accommodations, meals, transportation, theme park tickets and more. “We are so grateful to ALEX AND ANI for everything it has done to help the children and families we serve,” said Give Kids The World President and CEO Pamela Landwirth. “Its CHARITY BY DESIGN bangles are both beautiful and meaningful. ‘The Christmas Car’ follows in this tradition and is sure to become a holiday favorite.”

Available in a sparkling gold finish, The Christmas Car features a red Volkswagen Beetle carrying an evergreen tree on its roof. It is part of ALEX AND ANI’s holiday collection and is the fifth bangle created to benefit Give Kids The World. “The road to the holidays is always paved with excitement (and evergreen needles,)” writes ALEX & ANI describing its Christmas Car piece. “Overflowing with packages, hot cocoa, cheerful songs, and warm feelings, it’s a caravan traveling full speed to Christmas bliss. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.”

The Christmas Car is a great addition to your jewelry collection, makes a great gift for friends and loved ones, and provides a way to give back to a charitable cause.

Dinosaurs Ready To Roar At Dinosaurs Dynamite Produced By Field Station Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs Ready To Roar Starting December 27

With the Debut of

“Dinosaurs Dynamite!”

Produced By Field Station: Dinosaurs

By now I know that you already know how much our family loves dinosaurs, especially when they are from Field Station: Dinosaurs in New Jersey. We have spent countless hours taking on our roles as paleontologists as we scour the grounds looking for dinosaurs, fossils and more. But during the winter we always get kind of glum because the park is closed. This year something very special is happening and we can’t wait to share the news with you. So gather up your dinosaurs fans in the family and listen up. You are not going to want to miss out on this winter treat!
Vicious velociraptors, adorable baby dinosaurs and a living, breathing Tyrannosaurus Rex will take the stage at Metuchen’s Forum Theatre for seven performances starting Thursday December 27 and running through Sunday December 30.   Dinosaurs Dynamite!, a new family musical presented by Field Station: Dinosaurs, will take children back in time and around the world for an unforgettable adventure hosted by the Dinosaur Troubadour, Jumpin’ Jamie, and featuring the puppetry of Chris Palmieri, the star of Universal Kids’ Sprout House. Performance times are December 27 at 1:00 pm and December 28 – 30 at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Written by Field Station: Dinosaurs’ founder and New Jersey stage veteran Guy Gsell, with songs by Gsell, Ken Schwartz, as well as Jamie and Colby Theurich, Dinosaurs Dynamite is an entertaining educational show with just the perfect mix of science, silly and scary. Kids will dance at the Dinosaur Dance Party and learn how dinosaurs are named as they become contestants in a new game show for kids – Name That Dinosaur! The Field Station’s singing paleontologists will introduce New Jersey families to their most surprising next door neighbors – the Dinosaurs! Then the Forum will be transformed into a mesmerizing glow-in-the-dark puppet theater where the audience will take flight with the dinosaur daredevil – the bravest dinosaur of all!
The highlight of the show is a special appearance by the Field Station’s famous Mighty T-Rex, a realistic, 16-foot interactive puppet. In addition to Jumpin’ Jamie and Chris Palmieri, the all New Jersey cast includes Matt Coakley and Jesse Bush. This is the first live show that Field Station: Dinosaurs has produced outside its popular Leonia park. The Forum Theatre is located at 314 Main Street, Metuchen, NJ and is just two blocks from New Jersey Transit’s Metuchen train station.
Tickets for Dinosaurs Dynamite are available online at www.FieldStationDinosaurs.com or at the Forum Theatre Box Office one half hour prior to a performance.  For more information, please call Field Station: Dinosaurs at 855-999-9010.
