IHOP Introduces New “Griddle Melts,” Three Custom Made Delicious Breakfast Sandwiches to Savor Any Time of Day

IHOP Introduces New
“Griddle Melts”,
Three Custom Made Breakfast Sandwiches
To Savor Any Time Of Day
My family and I are always in search of a delicious menu option so when we were invited to
check out the new IHOP Griddle Melts we could not resist. IHOP is already a place we love to frequent, but I have to admit we generally go there for the pancakes. Today we tried out something new and could not have been any more pleased. I am always leery about trying out something that has a picture in the menu or advertisement. It seems that the item never lives up to what you expect. As you can see from the photos, the griddle melts look exactly the same as advertised and even better. There are three griddle melts to choose from:  Ham and Egg Griddle Melt, Western Griddle Melt, and Spinach Roasted Red Pepper and Cheese.
Hubby went with the Western and I chose the Spinach Roasted Red Pepper and Cheese.
They were both delicious. If you are a melted cheese fan you will love this choice.
It tastes as good as it looks!

Western Griddle Melt

HOP’s menu now includes three varieties of Griddle Melt sandwiches, each hand-crafted and made-to-order for each guest, served on artisan sourdough bread with a choice of three fluffy omelets in a large breakfast sandwich, making each sandwich an excellent value for consumers. Half sandwich servings are also being featured on the menu.
“Breakfast sandwiches are the largest selling breakfast items out of the home, with more than 55 billion servings consumed each year. Our new Griddle Melts bring our guests a breakfast sandwich that lives up to our high standards of excellence and value and they can only be found at IHOP,” said Natalia Franco, Senior Vice President, Marketing, International House of Pancakes, LLC. “Our culinary team has created three delicious varieties of Griddle Melts, each using the finest ingredients, and in a hearty size that requires both hands—even for the half sandwich.
“While others may offer guests breakfast sandwiches that are pre-made in advance, every single Griddle Melt sandwich is custom made for each guest,” Franco continued. “Bursting with flavor, Griddle Melts are a meal in themselves, a hearty breakfast sandwich that our guests will want to sit down and savor. And at $4.99 for a half sandwich it’s a great value and I encourage guests to try all three before choosing their favorite!”
Griddle Melt varieties include:
  • Spinach, Roasted Pepper & Cheese
  • Sautéed fresh spinach in a fluffy egg omelet topped with roasted red peppers and onions, melted Provolone, Parmesan and Pepper Jack cheeses on grilled artisan sourdough bread. Served with your choice of hash browns, French fries or seasonal fruit.
  • Western
  • Smoked ham and sautéed peppers and onions in a classic omelet, topped with sliced ham, melted American cheese and served on grilled artisan sourdough bread. Served with your choice of hash browns, French fries or seasonal fruit.
  • Ham & Egg Melt
  • Sliced ham and melted Swiss and American cheeses over a fluffy egg omelet served on grilled artisan sourdough bread. Served with your choice of hash browns, French fries or seasonal fruit.

Snowball Surprise Rice Krispies Treats Snow Day Fun

Snowball Surprise
Rice Krispies Treats
Snow Day Fun
Every time a Snow Day hits our house the kids cannot wait to
break out the boots and sleds. Of course the kids can only be
out in the frigid temperature for so long and the rest of the day
they also like to do special things. Hot cocoa is a must and most
of the time we bake cookies. Today we decided to go with Emily’s
idea to make some snowball surprises. They are basically rice
krispies treats rolled into little balls and then covered in
either white frosting, sugar, or both!
This recipe is super easy. I changed some of the ingredients since my children
do not like walnuts or coconut, I changed it to vanilla icing. I was also planning
to get some little white sprinkles, but forgot at the store! Next time.
These are the simple directions.
They are quite easy to follow and the kids will love it.
It’s a perfect Snow Day treat!
Tip #1 Tape aluminum foil to the table and spray it with
non stick spray. Also, after you mix the Rice Krispies/Marshmallow
melt, flatten it out on the foil and leave it a few minutes to cool and
form. It will work much better. I used a pizza cutter so all the balls would come
out close to the same size.
All ages enjoy this treat making recipe!

After shaping the balls you can dip/roll them into
icing or sugar or both!
Emily loves bringing the learning to life at home.
Thank you Mrs. Zielinski for the great activity!

Cheeseburger In Paradise

Cheeseburger In Paradise
Since May is National Hamburger Month,
my family and I could not help but celebrate.
Since Cheeseburger In Paradise had such a
great deal on mini-cheeseburgers,
$10 for 10 minis, we could not say no!

I don’t think I could ever pass up a reason to go to
 Cheeseburger In Paradise.
If you are a Jimmy Buffet fan or just like the island feel, Cheeseburger in Paradise
would be a great choice for you.
Every time I visit Florida, I never leave without a trip to Margaritaville.

But, since there are none in my local area,
Cheeseburger In Paradise,
also a Jimmy Buffet restaurant is a great choice.
The restaurant has a total island feel,
complete with palm trees and
beach scenes painted on the walls.
You can also catch live bands there (check schedule for times).
The menu is filled with American, Cheeseburger,
Seafood and Caribbean food choices.
There is a tiki bar in the center and outside dining.
 There is something for everyone!

 There are so many choices
and if you have children, don’t worry,
this restaurant is child friendly!
There is a special children’s menu
in the form of a great fun book
which will keep the kids entertained for more than 5 minutes!
If you have never dined at Cheeseburger In Paradise,
what are you waiting for?
 It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!
You can follow/like Cheeseburger in Paradise on
