Happy Groundhug Day! Book IntroductionReading is important in our family and in my life. Being a former teacher I have spent years and years searching out books that were good, books that children would like and read over and over again. Recently I was introduced to a book that I just could not pass by, Groundhug Day! First of all the title is just adorable! It grabs you right away and you want to look inside. I’m all about books that go with months or holidays and this one covers winter, Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day and even touches St. Patrick’s Day! It’s a must do for February if you are a parent, grandparent, teacher or care giver.

Groundhug day is written by Anne Marie Pace and illustrated by Christopher Denise and available at www.Disneybooks.com I’m sure you are wondering what the book is about by now. In this children’s book we meet Moose who is getting ready to have a Valentine’s Day party. Everyone can’t wait except for Groundhog. Groundhog is worried that if he sees his shadow outside, he’ll hide in his hole for six more weeks and miss the party! Moose and his friends get together and try to come up with a plan to help Groundhog. This is a book that you will be reading over and over to your children and they will be reading again and again to themselves! Happy Groundhug Day everyone!
