Disney’s The Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP Tour- Three Parks, Seven Hours, Tons of Thrills!

VIPEver daydream about visiting Walt Disney World and being privately whisked from one ride onto the next? If you ever have been to Disney World you most likely have spent time waiting in line after line. Even with the newest Fast Pass most people are limited to three per day. You may have noticed on one of your visits some small groups of people being led by a Disney Parks Guide through the park. You may have wondered what that was all about. I am about to tell you all about our VIP experience. At the last Disney Social Media Moms Celebration our group of bloggers and influencers were introduced to Disney VIP Tours. We were also invited to take the tour ourselves on an upcoming visit. I’m extremely grateful to have the been given the chance to take the Disney VIP tour with my sons.

vipgreeter1The tour our family chose is called The Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP Tour. The tour lasted seven hours and covered three different parks! Needless to say, I was very thankful that we all had on our most comfortable sneakers. You really cover a lot of ground on this tour, but it’s also a lot of fun. All of our reservations were arranged before our tour date via the phone and all plans were reviewed. I felt very comfortable about approaching the day even though I was not familiar with the VIP tour had in store for us.

VIPtagsOur tour meet up spot was at the entrance to Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom. We had to meet up at 8:30 am, even though the park did not open until 9 am. There were a few others on the tour with us. Each group of people is assigned to a VIP guide. After our check in we were given our VIP lanyards, SO exciting! We were officially assigned to the orange group and guide. We were briefed on how to stay together as a group and how to follow our guide. We were also given the freedom to ride or sit out at each stop. To say that we were super excited was be the biggest understatement ever! We were pumped and ready to go! Our Ultimate VIP Day of Thrills was about to begin. Surreal!

vipparkclosedOur first stop was Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, a family favorite! We were off to a good start and the park was not even open yet. Of course I do believe we waited until exactly 9 am before boarding the ride. It was completely amazing to watch the ropes drop and the people rush into Tomorrowland heading in every direction to every ride. As for us, we were first on the ride and that was a first for us. What a start! It was hard to believe that this day was only going to get better and better. That was ride one! Next up we headed to Space Mountain and directly into the Fast Pass lane. Bonus- We did not have to use any of our own fast passes. The guide just led us through without any swiping! Can I take a guide with me every time I visit Disney World?

VIPspacemtvipbuzzadamSpace Mountain was a fun as ever and really got the thrills rolling. There were plenty more coasters following the first as we headed to The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Splash Mountain! The Three Mountains of Magic Kingdom were conquered and all before lunchtime! It felt like being in a dream. In case you were wondering we were taken though the Fast Pass Lane at each ride. There were temporary waits in some of the lines but nothing more than five to ten minutes. That’s a far cry from what we are used to when visiting the parks.

vipsplashAlong the way we took about a fifteen minute break to grab some water and snacks. There were also many bathrooms available along the way.  Our tour of Magic Kingdom wrapped up with one of my favorite rides, The Haunted Mansion. For this ride we were guided through the Exit and into the back secret entrance, SO awesome! We were taken through the Servants’ Quarters and treated to secret stories about some of the treasures found within the unit. From there we entered the stretching room and continued onto the ride. I do have to admit, going in through the Servants’ Quarters was super fun and made the ride feel even more haunted than usual.

VIPhauntedVIPguideIt was hard to grasp that we had gone through so many major attractions inside of Magic Kingdom in such a short amount of time. The tour could have ended right there and I would have been a happy camper, but there was more, much more! We gathered as a group and headed to a secret exit out of Magic Kingdom. Sorry I cannot tell you anything about that part and we were not allowed to take pictures behind the scenes. As we exited, our personal VIP Tour van was waiting for us. We boarded it and we were magically zipped off to a secret back entrance into Epcot! A zip and a zag and a zoom and we were behind The Land pavilion in Future World. A door magically opened and there we were at the entrance of Soarin’ !! What??!! Disney really is magical! Before riding the newly revised Soarin’ we were treated to a lunch of our choice at the Sunshine Seasons food court inside of The Land. There were numerous dining choices from Chinese, to Italian, to sandwiches and more. Honestly, I did not get to even see all of the choices. My sons and I headed right for some Sweet and Sour Chicken with rice, a fruit smoothie and a delicious Red Velvet whoopie pie adorned with a chocolate Mickey! Soarn’ was perfect! If you liked the last one, you will love this one. We were treated some trivia about the ride and some background information. Just as we entered, we exited to our VIP van and off we went on the back roads.

viplunchvipsoarinOur final stop on the VIP Tour and our THIRD PARK of the day was Disney’s Hollywood Studios! It was hard to believe we were entering our third park of the day, our third park. By now we knew most of the people in our group. Everyone felt the same way and agreed that the The Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP Tour was one of the best kept secrets! I never would have believed that you could actually get to as many rides as did and visit their parks.  Our guide led the way as we weaved through the crowds to the back of the park. First stop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Toy Story Mania! Pop! Pop! It was amazing to sail right through behind our guide and almost right onto the ride. Did you know there are two tracks now to the ride? ( I did not find this out on the tour, but thought it was interesting.) Just past the 3d glasses you can ask the cast member if you can ride the Night Track. That one will take you through Andy’s room at night while he is sleeping. It’s just as fun as the regular track but a bit of a different experience. From Toy Story Mania it was onto Star Tours The Adventure Continues! Does it get any better? It’s like someone asked our family for a list of our favorite rides! Of course by now, I’m sure you can guess the final two rides- Saving the best for last- Rock’ n’ Roller Coaster and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror!

I’m loving your Disney VIP tour photos. That would be a great vacation for us. Disney has so many great attractions, I think it is a great idea to hire a tour guide to help you make it through.
