Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass” In Theaters Today! #ThroughTheLookingGlass

Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass In Theaters NowAlice

Recently as part of the Disney’s Social Media Mom’s Celebration we were treated to a screening of  Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass. As you know already, I am quite a big Disney movies fan but I’m new to the whole live action flicks. I never did end up seeing the original Alice In Wonderland live action movie, but I am completely a fan now. I was won over with this movie within the first ten minutes of the film. In this  all-new spectacular adventure  Alice  travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter who believes his family is still alive somewhere. Only Alice can get the job done and try to change the events that took place many years ago.

One of my favorite characters in the movie is Time. He is definitely a perfect representation of what we think of time and he advice that he gives throughout the movie holds very true in reality. He says, “You can’t change the past, but you can learn from it”. Yes, you can. As I have seen in my own life, you definitely cannot go back and change the past, but you can learn from it so you can makes much better decisions if given the chance. There are so many jokes about time. I can’t give them all away, but one teaser would be when Chesire Cat arrives late and jumps onto the character Time. He then says, “I’m not late, I’m actually ON Time!”. So, if that kind of humor is something that makes you chuckle, you will definitely be a fan of this movie.

SuzanneTodd

We had the pleasure of meeting and listening to producer, Suzanne Todd who gave us all the back stories on just how real the filming was and how tough it was to focus with so much green screen time. But, alas, that is what makes Alice Through the Looking Glass an amazing movie and one you will definitely want to see with your friends and family. Don’t listen to the critics, listen to your heart and go and see this movie. You will find and incredible movie and story line, a lot of jokes and definitely some conversation starters that you can discuss with your kids or friends when the movie ends. What if you could go back and change time. What would be the one event you would change? How can you learn from the past? No matter how young or old we are, we are constantly learning from the moments that have just slipped through our fingertips. I found this movie to be so much more than what was just on the screen before me. Suzanne Todd also graced us by bringing along one of only two sets of costumes. The original costumes were within reach to actually get an up close look at the delicate details that were sewn into each piece. EmilyAlice

In Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” an all-new spectacular adventure featuring the unforgettable characters from Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories, Alice returns to the whimsical world of Underland to save her friend the Mad Hatter. Directed by James Bobin, who brings a unique vision to the spectacular world Tim Burton created on screen in “Alice in Wonderland,” the film is written by Linda Woolverton based on characters created by Lewis Carroll and produced by Joe Roth, Suzanne Todd and Jennifer Todd and Tim Burton with John G. Scotti serving as executive producer. “Alice Through the Looking Glass” reunites the all-star cast from the worldwide blockbuster phenomenon, including: Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Matt Lucas and Helena Bonham Carter along with the voices of Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall. We are also introduced to several new characters: Zanik Hightopp (Rhys Ifans), the Mad Hatter’s father and Time himself (Sacha Baron Cohen), a peculiar creature who is part human, part clock.

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” Live Action! FIRST TRAILER!!

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” Live Action! FIRST TRAILER!!

When it comes to Disney movies, there is one that stands alone, there is one that is my all time favorite- That would be Beauty and the Beast! I have been in love with the movie since the very first time I saw in at the theater. Since then I have watched it countless times with the kids throughout the years. We even went to see it on Broadway, NYC. So when I heard that Disney had plans to create a live action Beauty and the Beast my heart just crunched in happiness. I literally cannot wait for this to come out. My family knows about my obsession, too and even booked my Mother’s Day dinner at the Beast’s Castle in Magic Kingdom. So although there are no posters up yet, we do have a video to share and it’s a good one! Follow me for ALL THINGS Beauty and the Beast! Let’s wait for this one together!

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar® winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe® nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; six-time Tony Award® winner Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, the wardrobe; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark Opens Memorial Day Weekend With FREE Admission for Military & Card Carrying Dependents

Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark Opens Memorial Day Weekend With FREE Admission for Military & Card Carrying Dependents 12:00PM Memorial Day Ceremony

camelbeach

Memorial Day is a very special day in our house. My Dad, who lives with us served in WWII many moons ago. I still cannot believe he lived though some of the things he has mentioned. Throughout the years many of my family members have committed to the Air Force, Army and Navy, even holding the honor of Navy Seals! So when Memorial Day rolls around here it is an honor to be a part of it. I am proud to see that Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark holds the same honor for the military that our family does.

This year  Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark, Pennsylvania’s biggest waterpark located at Camelback Resort in the Pocono Mountains, will officially open for the summer season on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Camelback Resort will be honoring U.S soldiers, military members and their families with a full-day free admission to Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark during the Memorial Day Weekend from Saturday, May 28 to Monday, May 30, 2016. A ceremony honoring Camelbeach park guests who have served in the military will be held on Monday, May 30th at 12:00PM on the waterpark grounds in front of the Sullivan Chair Lift.

“We are honored to offer free admission to those who have served, as well as their families, on Memorial Day weekend,” states Brian Czarnecki, vice president of sales & marketing. “We invite our military guests and all Camelbeach visitors to join us for a special Memorial Day Ceremony to honor our U.S. Troops and take pause to recognize their sacrifice and their service.”

Active military and their family are eligible for a full-day free park admission when they present their valid Military I.D. and dependent cards at the ticket window. Veterans with a DD-214 and/or an active driver’s license with veteran’s designation logo are also offered a free full-day park admission. Camelbeach offers all active military members and their card-carrying dependents along with retired members a discounted ticket rate of $34.99 all summer long.

A vast departure from the typical concrete waterpark environment, Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark is located at the base of Camelback Mountain. Families and waterpark enthusiasts will be submerged in unparalleled summer fun and entertainment with nearly 40 rides, slides and water attractions. In June, Camelbeach will unveil the new attraction, Mummy’s Oasis, an innovative new family-friendly fun water play zone designed especially for the toddlers and young children with their “mummies” and daddy’s.

Waterpark favorites include the acclaimed FlowRider surfing simulator, Vortex & Spin Cycle – the only duo bowl slides in the US, and Titan, a family raft ride that runs the length of nearly three football fields and serpentines down the natural slope of Camelback Mountain.

A high demand offering at Camelbeach are the 41 private cabanas that offer guests their own private oasis. Cabana service includes a fresh fruit basket in the morning, dessert tray in the afternoon and wait service all day. Regular Cabanas can accommodate up to six and are located at the Olympic Pool & Pharaoh’s Phortress. Deluxe Cabanas, located at Kahuna Lagoon wavepool, can accommodate up to ten and have a fan and a refrigerator stocked with cold bottled water.

On the dryer side, Sullivan Sky Ride takes guests on a mountain base to summit chairlift ride offering a bird’s eye view of Camelbeach Mountain waterpark and potential wildlife sightings. Coupled with Camelback Mountain Adventures, 100+ aerial obstacle TreeTops Adventure Course, Freefall airbag attraction and the 4,000 ft. twin Soaring Camel Zip-Flyers and Pennsylvania’s only Appalachian Express Mountain Coaster, Camelback Resort delivers a combination of thrill and relaxation in a family-friendly mountain setting.

The perennial winner of TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence, Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark is conveniently located just 90 minutes from New York City and Philadelphia, 2 miles off Interstate 80, in the Pocono Mountains at 301 Resort Drive, Tannersville, Pa.
