Katie (Julianne Hough) is trying to escape her torrid past and lands in a small seaside town in North Carolina. She buys a house and starts over, keeping busy with a job at a local diner and remodeling her home. Alex (Josh Duhamel) immediately finds himself drawn to the new beauty, but she keeps him at a safe distance since she doesn’t want to involve anyone in what she’s running from. But his kids also take a liking to her, and it’s hard for her to avoid them all in the small town for long.
