Visiting The Hershey Area?
The Hotel Hershey Is A Must!
There is no mistake that our family loves to travel. With three children that vary in ages from adult to seven years old, sometimes keeping everyone happy can be a challenge. Recently our family was hosted by Hotel Hershey for a weekend of Christmas fun! It is definitely a weekend that will be talked about for a long time to come. Although we are not newcomers to Hershey, Pa- our family has never visited the Hotel Hershey before. Our first impression as we climbed the hill with our van was the grandness of the hotel.
Hotel Hershey sits high on a mountain that is across the road from the well known Hershey Park.
From the moment we entered the grounds we know our weekend would be spectacular.
The welcoming, door opening and check in was hassle free. To describe the staff in one word I would have to choose charming. The Hotel Hershey is a resort onto itself with many shoppes that range in tastes from one of a kind jewelry, clothing, spa wear, to stuffed animal friends, coffee and of course that world famous chocolate made fresh every day right in Hershey, Pa!
Perusing the grounds is a must when you stay at the Hotel Hershey. There is so much to explore. It was very hard to leave, even when it came to leaving for something as special as Christmas in Candy Lane at the nearby Hershey Park. There is also a daily list of activities(included with your stay) for the families that visit. During our stay we attended the cookie decorating event.
Checking out a new room is always an adventure for our family. Sometimes your expectations are popped as soon as the door opens. Not the case at all at the Hotel Hershey. Our family of five fit perfectly into our room choice with elbow room, which is always important when you have children. It’s really kind of funny to watch my kids go into the room.  They always check for little things that make “this hotel” more special. Emily was thrilled to find the entire Starbucks set up inside the cabinet hidden away. Adam loved the view of the hedges so eloquently shaped into HH along with the fabulous window view. It was as picturesque as a painting. Louie of course checked the bed comfort which quickly was given the thumbs up!
As for me, I always love to see the bathroom set up. It was one to die for including everything you could imagine- bath salts, sponges, washes, lotions, take home slippers and a robe(available for purchase).
Charming, Clean and Comfortable! We loved the Hotel Hershey!
Did I mention the pool and spa area?
The Hotel Hershey has an extensive list of spa treatments available to hotel guests. This time I did not have a chance to try any of them, maybe on the next trip!
As for the pool, or should I say pools. The pool is very large along with a separate kiddie pool and a whirlpool. If that is not enough, there is a sauna in the dressing room along with showers and a full line of items to help you get ready for the day if you have already checked out. We did try out the pool and honestly could have stayed there for hours if we had more time.
Of course there are also numerous restaurants within the hotel including the famous Circular Dining Room.
One of my favorite areas of the Hotel Hershey was just relaxing and chatting with the family in the luxurious second floor grand lobby and fountain, just lovely.
If you are planning a trip to the Hershey, Pa area or just looking for a resort to spend a little quality one on one time with your special someone or your family, look no farther than the Hotel Hershey. This resort has something for everyone and will make your family feel as special as they did ours. We cannot wait to get back to the Hotel Hershey and spend more time exploring the dining and Chocolate Spa.
