Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam Path of Destruction
Recently our family had the pleasure of being a part of the first Advanced Auto Parts Monster Jam Path of Destruction to take place at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. Now if that wasn’t enough to get the kids and us parents excited, nothing ever would be! We have been to Monster Jam plenty of times but it has always been an indoor venue. As much as love the indoor event, it was a whole different dynamic to see the trucks on tons and tons of dirt and massive cars piled on cars and ready for destruction. We were so pumped for the day and it turned out to exceed our expectations on every level!
Pole Position Raceway Indoor Electric Karting Center Minutes from Manhattan!
Every summer in our house as in many others the challenge of keeping the kids busy for July and August comes into play. Since I am at home with Adam who will be a teenager in the coming weeks and Emily who is five, we are always on the hunt for fun things to do. I was thrilled to find out about Pole Position Raceway right in Jersey City, NJ very close to Manhattan. Adam was really excited about the thought of getting behind the wheel! He will be testing out the raceway in the coming days, so I will be back with an update on things and pictures.
In the meantime, I am happy to share everything I know about it so far. Pole Position Raceway, a state-of-the-art indoor electric karting center. There are weekly summer racing camps offered at its facility. Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D Great For Tweens, Teens and You!
Recently, my two children and I attended a screening for the brand new, spectacular 3d movie, “Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D” at the Paramount Pictures Screening Room on Broadway, NYC. It was no surprise to get the royal treatment from Paramount. They really roll out the red carpet for their guests! We were treated to specialty drinks “Teenage Dream” and “The Pink Peacock”. We did not go hungry since we were treated to a light dinner, NYC Cake Pops, treats from Magnolia Bakery, and a huge serve yourself Candy Bar by Hershey’s.
The audience fell into a sudden hush as Katy Perry Part of Me 3D began. I think it took everyone for quite a surprise as the raw truth of the real person unfolded. This movie tells the story of Katy Perry and her rise to stardom. I did not realize how hard Katy Perry worked to reach her goals. Personally, I thought she was an overnight success and did not realize the torn road she went down including many disappointments along the way. Her sheltered childhood was another surprise to me. Yet though it all, one thing remained the same. You cannot dispute just how talented Katy Perry is, with a voice and style not to be matched. As Katy put it in the movie, “I don’t want to be another someone, I want to be the first Katy Perry”. Well, there you have it. We have the first Katy Perry and you will see the makings of her right on the screen in front of you. You also experience her joy and sorrow through the span of her tour. The movie takes place over the span of one year. It was quite interesting to be on the “other side” of the stage. Many things we never would think a star goes through are right there for us to witness. Here is a little sneak peek at the movie!
