New Cake Boss Cafe Opens In NYC

New York City just got a little bit sweeter, or maybe a lot sweeter since Buddy Valastro’s 
Cake Boss Cafe has opened in NYC. A few months ago I had the awesome experience 
of being invited to attend a fondant cake decorating class at The Lackawanna Cake Factory
 in Hoboken, NJ. You can check it out right here (pic is below).

 I was thrilled to find out the Cake Boss was heading to NYC. 
Recently I had the pleasure of visiting the newest Cake Boss Cafe located on
 42nd Street and 8th Ave., NYC. The corner location just screams out and grabs
 you to come inside for a delicious treat. 
Adorned with a lifesized Bobblehead of the Cake Boss himself there is plenty
 to appeal to all the senses. Even waiting in line is a treat as you 
pass by a live decorating kitchen where you can see your favorite
 decadent desserts  receiving their final touches.

Now, I did encounter one problem and that was what delicious work 
of art I should choose. Cookies, individual cheese cakes, fondant decorated 
cakes and cupcakes were among the contenders. Well, I did end up with an 
array of goodies to bring home. Of course my daughter and I did have to sample 
the goods before we left. I had the carrot cake cupcake and she had a huge cookie. 
No leftovers from either of us. 
I am happy to say there was plenty of room and table space for
 us to sit down without feeling rushed. 
There were also wall to wall smiles which tells me that everyone was
 enjoying their food choices as much as my we did.
If you have never been to a Cake Boss Cafe you will be thrilled to know you can 
grab up some souvenirs and may even catch one of Buddy’s family
 members behind the counter. When you visit the NYC area be sure to leave 
a little extra time to make a stop at The Cake Boss Cafe. If you love the cake boss, 
you’ll feel the same way about the cafe. If you are local, it’s worth a stop,

Review: Ubisoft’s Avengers Battle For Earth

Recently, my family had the amazing experience of reviewing Avengers: Battle for Earth. Being a 13-year-old boy, but a 7-year-old at heart, I love superhero movies, games, and television shows. And I especially love the Avengers! It is hard for me to find a Kinect title that is suitable for a teenager, since so many are geared toward a younger fanbase. Also a lot of times, it is hard for my parents and I to agree on an appropriate title, since I have to do a lot of my gaming in front of my six year old sister.

Avengers: Battle for Earth is an amazing Kinect experience. Ubisoft does a great job of immersing you into the world of the Avengers. This is one of the most responsive Kinect games I have ever played! When you go to punch an enemy, you do not have to repeat your motion over and over, which is something I have experienced with other Kinect titles. Avengers: Battle for Earth looks great and plays great!

In Avengers: BFA, you can play by yourself, or with a friend, bringing even more enjoyment and replay value to the table! You and your friend both select your hero (or villain, your call) and then you battle in one of the game’s vibrant, beautifully rendered courses. My personal favorite character was Venom, but my brother was more of an Iron Man fan.

I had a great time playing Avengers: BFA. It is one of the best Kinect experiences the Xbox 360 has to offer. I was very impressed by the graphics and gameplay, and was quite fond of the multiplayer. Ubisoft did a great job creating a very authentic, immersive, and all-around amazing super hero experience for Kinect for the Xbox 360. I, myself, have sunk hours into this game, and hours well spent may I add. Whenever my brother comes home from college, this is one of the great titles we choose to play with each other in the time that we have before he goes back. We are big into co-op games like Rayman Origins, but we love to go head-to-head sometimes, and see who is a more skilled gamer.

Avengers: Battle for Earth is a total blast, and a must have for Kinect owners! I would give this game a 10/10. I thoroughly enjoyed Avengers: Battle for Earth for Kinect for the Xbox 360!

In our house Disney Junior is like part of the family. We all know Doc McStuffins 
and have watched Hanny Manny for years. So, when my family heard about
the new episodes that would debut around Valentine’s Day, we could not be any happier. Valentine’s Day is going to be a little be sweeter this year, thanks to Disney Junior.
The new “Doc McStuffins” episode titled “My Huggy Valentine,” 
Doc receives a stuffed Valentine’s Day heart named Val as a gift and Lambie
gets jealous because she thinks Doc likes her new toy better.  After diagnosing
Lambie with “splitheartitis,” Doc reassures her that no one could ever take her place.  
This episode of “Doc McStuffins” premieres Friday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m., You can also catch it again during the month of February. Check your local

 Years ago when I think I went to the movie theater at least three times to see Top Gun. I am a huge Tom Cruise fan and I believe it all started with this movie. If you were too young to see it the first time around in the theaters, this is your chance to see what everyone has been talking about. I am looking forward to the 3D IMAX experience with this one for sure. 

“TOP GUN,” Paramount Pictures’ 1986 classic from director Tony Scott, producers Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer, and starring Tom Cruise, takes off on a new adventure with an exclusive six-day 3D engagement in select IMAX® theatres beginning February 8, 2013.  The film has been re-mastered for the IMAX®3D release and subsequent debut on Blu-ray 3D.
TOP GUN was re-mastered for the big screen from high-resolution original negative scans and painstakingly converted to 3D by Legend3D under the supervision of the film’s director, Tony Scott.  Rendered in 3D, the film’s complex, long shots reveal extraordinary depth and clarity, allowing viewers to explore every detail of the action.  From the spectacular aerial dogfights to the intense close-ups in the cockpits, each frame enables the audience to feel a part of the story. 
The story of an elite group of pilots competing to be the best in their class and earn the title of
“TOP GUN” captured the imagination of a generation and earned a worldwide box office of over $350 million upon its release.  The film stars Tom Cruise as Maverick and Kelly McGillis as his civilian instructor. The film also stars Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards and Meg Ryan.

The “TOP GUN” Blu-ray 3D disc presents the film with pristine high definition picture and sparkling sound in spectacular 3D for the ultimate home viewing experience.  The Blu-ray 2D includes the re-mastered film in high definition, along with a six-part documentary on the making of the movie, a behind-the-scenes featurette, interviews with Tom Cruise, commentary by producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Tony Scott, co-screenwriter Jack Epps, Jr. and more.  The two-disc set available for purchase also includes a digital copy of the film and will be enabled with UltraViolet technology.
