25 Years Ago Hubby Asked Me To Marry Him..
And I Said Yessssssss!
PS- He Asks Me Every Year on Feb 5th
 and Every Year I Say Yessssssssss!!!
February 5th was an ordinary day until twenty five years ago.
Since I was a child, I knew one thing, I always wanted to fall in love, get married and have children. 
Maybe it was the influence of the Barbies, the dollies, playing house or my mom being a housewife, but something just always had me daydreaming of the days ahead. 
Flash forward to the dating game. After a few frogs, I found my soul mate, my other half.
We did not start out dating. I was his friend, his best friend. But then, something changed.
We decided to take that leap of faith, that chance that you really don’t want to risk sometimes when you have a friend that’s a guy that you really love as a friend. 
Then we dated, and dated and dated and dated and dated. It was much too long of a dating period for me. But anyone in a relationship knows that it has to be the “right time” for both people.
So, on February 5th, 25 years ago hubby took me out to brunch at our favorite place in Tarrytown, NY.
We took a little walk when we arrived and  went into the gazebo on the grounds.
Hubby got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. It was surreal. 
Of course, as you may have guessed. I said Yessssssssssssssssssssss!!!!
We went into the restaurant and everyone clapped and cheered since they had all witnessed 
the proposal through the glass windows. It was magical. It was right.
It was love and still is. Hubby and I will be celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary later on this year.
We were engaged and married within the same year.
Sad part of the story: I have hubby but I don’t have the ring. When Emily was about two she was helping me clean and threw everything on our little corner table in the garbage, including my 1.5 karat heart shaped diamond ring and anniversary band. The insurance covered zero!! 
Someday…I may get engaged again…
I can deal with that…I’m glad hubby is still here..25 years later.
PS: He still asks me every Feb. 5th to marry him..and I still say Yessssssssssssssss!!!

#UltimateGetaway Cruise With Us On Norwegian’s Getaway 
For the Ultimate Experience
Recently our family was invited by The Moms to board the brand new Norwegian Getaway 
while it was docked in New York City. Just a quick note about our family: We are in awe of big ships!
It was love at first sight as soon as the Getaway came into view. We had never seen a
picture of the new ship so we had no idea what to expect. My daughter immediately
noticed the beautiful mermaid that adorned the side of the ship, just beautiful and so inviting.
Although we have cruised before, we have never had the pleasure of cruising Norwegian.
The ship is grand and luxurious with a variety of choices in entertainment, dining, geared toward adults, teens, and children. The ship is one of the biggest around, just over one thousand feet long and able to house almost 4,000 passengers and a crew of over 1,600. Check out more about Norwegian Getaway here.

Our family was lucky enough to get an informative tour of the Norwegian Getaway. WoW!
We never wanted to leave. First of all the we experienced one of the many dining-entertainment
choices, Illusionarium, where we dined on a delicious menu from appetizers to dessert. We even sampled wines exclusive to Norwegian Cruise Lines. A wonderful feature to the Illusionarium is that you can dine while you enjoy a show. During the cruise Illusionarium hosts a variety of different illusionists surly to delight the entire audience. Since we were touring we had the opportunity to see a sample of  not only magic, but also Burn the Floor, Legally Blonde and the Nickelodeon Show. What a variety! The Ice Bar, kept at a chilly 15 degrees, but don’t worry,
 parkas are available to keep you warm.
The Grammy Experience is am amazing club where you can enjoy
memorabilia from past Grammy winners and shows.
Our family of five is always looking for travel destinations that can appeal to all of the age groups of our children from age seven, to teenager, to adult. The Norwegian Getaway had something for everyone in the family. Emily enjoyed Splash, the kids club, where you can check your child in for an hour or a day of fun!
There was plenty to do for everyone from children to teenagers to adults, including a rock climbing wall, a plank for the very brave, various pools, sports, an arcade, movies and more.

 Now, let’s talk staterooms. Can you say Love!? We loved them. While on board we had the chance to see the regular stateroom, which I thought was actually much bigger than I imagined and bigger than on other cruise ships I have been on. We visited all different types of staterooms including deluxe suites that our family could only dream about ever experiencing. Talk about the lap of luxury. One of the amazing suites had a corner jacuzzi tub stationed next to the window. Beautiful! 

Yes, Please!
If gambling is your thing, there is a full casino including penny slots and up, black jack and roulette tables and more. Who knows, you may get lucky enough to win back your cruise money! 
Norwegian Getaway also has something my family thought was just amazing, ocean view dining. 
What could be more beautiful than dining with ceiling to floor windows with a sea view. This was gorgeous!
Did I mention there is also a Spa on board? and Sponge Bob? and Dora?..
I could write on forever about the Norwegian Getaway!
It’s perfect to cruise on alone, with a friend, your spouse, or family. Norwegian Getaway will be sailing away to its home port in Miami, Florida. So happy to have had the chance to check it out.
