The Lobster House Cape May #CapeMay #LobsterHouse #Roadtrip2fun

The Lobster House On Fisherman’s Wharf at Cape May Harbor

When in Rome…or should I say..When in Cape May..
Okay, when by the sea you have to eat seafood and our family has a favorite place. Every time we visit Cape May there is one resturant, The Lobster House, that is on our must do list. Recently, we visited Cape May for a bit of a winter retreat with the family. If you are like us, there is no wrong time to be near the ocean.

If you are a seafood lover The Lobster House is a restaurant you do not want to miss. The seafood is fresh and delicious. We just adore the Lobster Bisque and steamed clams. That is just the beginning. There are too many dishes to name and we have tried many of them. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious!

What I love most about The Lobster House is that it has been there forever. I can remember dining there as a child and now I am dining there with my own children. I’m hoping they will continue and take their own children there in years to come.
Another BIG perk- there is a Fish Market on the grounds. You can take home whatever you would like. My “togo” order usually includes lobster tails, shrimp, lobster quiche, and lobster bisque. Not to worry The Lobster House will pack it all up into a take along ice chest and tape it so you are good to go. Bravo, Lobster House, we love you.
See you at The Lobster House in Cape May! We love to walk around the dock and see the fishing boats! PS: There is also outside dining during the summer. Check out more about the Lobster House here: http://thelobsterhouse.com/restaurant/

Cape May Zoo #VisitNJ #CapeMay #Roadtrip2fun

Cape May Zoo
Year Round Fun
Recently our family decided to take a little ride and get away to Cape May, NJ.
You may think of visiting the Jersey Shore only during the summer, but the winter months are also a lovely time to enjoy the sunny brisk days of Cape May. Of course when you travel with a family you always are in search of “things to do”.  Cape May Zoo is open year round and is the hidden gem of the southern tip of New Jersey. Our family has been fans since my oldest son was a baby and will be for years to come. Cape May Zoo just keeps getting better.

First of all, Cape May Zoo works off of donations only. There is no official entrance fee to go into the zoo. Of course you really do not see many people pass by the donation site. Everyone that visits loves the zoo and wants to see it continue, so like us, others do not pass by the donation bucket.
You may think that because the zoo has no entrance fee it will be a tiny zoo with a few animals. No way. Cape May Zoo has a vast array of animals spanning from a bird house to an African Savannah.
One thing I love about Cape May Zoo is that it is open year round. It’s just as fun to visit in the summer as it is to visit in the fall, winter and spring. We have visited during all seasons. During our recent visit we had the pleasure of seeing the animals get their very special Holiday food gifts. What fun! The peacock above even graced us with a beautiful feather display! Gorgeous! Along our trek some of our favorites were the camel, otters, the reptile house and the new brother/sister lion team.
If you are visiting the Cape May area definitely stop by the Cape May Zoo. You can spend an hour or the day, either way it will be delightful. Find out more about Cape May Zoo here: http://www.capemaycountyzoo.org/home.html

Warm Up This Winter At Great Wolf Lodge! @GreatWolfLodge #GWL

Warm Up This Winter
at Great Wolf Lodge
The winter freeze is definitely upon us. Although we do enjoy the snowy outdoor activities, we are also always in search of a cozy winter retreat. Luckily for us, Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos- less than two hours away from NYC is always there for us. Imagine enjoying an indoor water park with a view of the snowy mountains. It’s yours for the taking. One of our favorite family fun resorts is definitely Great Wolf. No matter that age of your children, from infants to adults, even the grandparents will have a blast. If you do visit, make sure you pack your swimsuit. Well, if you do forget, there is always one available at one of the shoppes.
Here is a list of TEN Things our family loves
 about Great Wolf Lodge:

 1. You can choose your own activity level from reading a book in front of the fireplace in the Grand Lobby to swimming and water slides. It’s your call.
2. Magiquest and Shadowquest: What a fun game for all ages. The kids will love solving quests and moving on to different levels. Good Luck at the end if you go up against the dragon. He’s a tough one to beat, but there is always someone on hand from the Magiquest team to help you out, so don’t worry.
3. The Water park! Okay, so this one is definitely is my family’s favorite. We all love the wave pool, water slides and whirlpools. 84 degrees. Yes, please!
4. There are plenty of places to dine at the lodge. You do not have to leave to fill up the bellies. There are choices from buffets, Wolf It Down pizza, and more. Did I mention there is a Starbucks?

5. Story Hour is my daughter’s favorite. She loves watching the Clock Tower show followed by story time and then a character meet and greet. It is simply adorable. If you visit, don’t miss it.
6. The rooms are a world onto themselves. There is a huge variety of room styles to choose from. We love the loft with two floors of fun, and an in room fireplace and balcony. There are also rooms that tout bunk beds and their own kids’ cabin within the room.
7. There is a SPA within the lodge. One for adults and one for kids- Scooops Kids Spa. Enough said?
8. The Northern Lights arcade is a family fun spot for all of us. Everyone in our family has a blast between air hockey, skee ball, Deal or No Deal, and so many more choices.

9. The Staff! They are amazing. We visit the Poconos location and they are just top notch. No matter where you are in the lodge you can find a smiling face and someone to help or just brighten up your day. They are knowledgeable and willing to lend an extra hand.

10. Family time! With everyone on a different schedule it’s nice to get away, even for one night and just be together. The laughs are many and the memories we are making will last forever. Great Wolf Lodge cannot be beat for close to home family fun!

If your family is ready to warm up this winter, you should definitely check out Great Wolf Lodge.
See you there! Greatwolf.com.

Winter Travel Just Got More Frozen For Kids With American Tourister Frozen Collection @AmTourister

Winter Travel Just Got More Frozen
For Kids With American Tourister Frozen Collection
Disney’s Frozen has been a part of our life since it hit theaters last year. My daughter has the entire family singing and playing along on a daily basis. Another love of our family is traveling. We are constantly on the go. We were thrilled to find out that American Tourister now has a Frozen suitcase for children that is just incredible. Until now, Em has been “borrowing” my raspberry American Tourister, so there was no one as happy as me.  There are three different Frozen choices and each one is more adorable than the next. I’m glad that I did not have to choose. Em’s new suitcase is big enough for her to pack her clothes and lovies for any trip.
The suitcase we checked out featured Elsa, Anna and Olaf and could also be used for a carry on.
It features glittery sparkles and snowflakes to give anyone a complete Frozen feel. The handle was the perfect size for Em to be able to pull her suitcase from the car to our hotel room with ease.
