Madame Tussauds Is A Great Day of Fun in NYC!

Now that the chilly weather is setting in we are on the hunt for some great indoor activities in the NYC area.  We have found a great place to go- rain or shine-snow or ice, during any season of the year, it’s Madame Tussauds right on 42nd Street in NYC. Our family loves visiting and has been there more than once and wouldn’t mind going back again. If you have kids that have never visited or want a day out with your adult friends this may be the perfect place for you to have a day of fun! Personally, I would suggest arriving early if you can, but any time of the day works, too.

TONIGHT!!!! STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS TRAILER TO DEBUT TOMORROW DURING HALFTIME ON ESPN’S “MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL”

I know where this family will be tonight( Monday Night) at 5:15 pm. We will be gathered around the tv in anticipation of the NEW trailer launch that will take place. Woot!!!! I’m sure I am not alone saying that I am BEYOND excited about this!! It has been the topic of convo all morning in this house. Needless to say we are total Star Wars fans and have been hanging on every single piece of news that comes out. Can’t wait to share it all with you! Lucasfilm announced today that the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” on Monday, October 19, during halftime of the National Football League (NFL) game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia. The game starts at 5:15 p.m. PDT/8:15 p.m. EDT.  The Spanish language version of the trailer will air on ESPN Deportes simultaneously.

To commence the countdown for the trailer launch, today Lucasfilm released the Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster worldwide. Following the trailer launch, tickets to the highly anticipated cinematic event will be on sale everywhere movie tickets are sold.

In conjunction with the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer debut, the Walt Disney Company is providing unprecedented company-wide on-air and social support (#TheForceAwakens) as well as tying in events and special activities for the day of the trailer release.  

Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens in U.S. theaters on December 18.

Lucasfilm and visionary director J.J. Abrams join forces to take you back again to a galaxy far, far away as Star Wars returns to the big screen with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

 The film stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing with Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by Lawrence Kasdan & J.J. Abrams and Michael Arndt.

Bridge of Spies In Theaters Now

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend an advanced screening for Dreamworks’ Bridge of Spies. I had heard about the background story years before but had no idea how it would play out on the big screen.  Bridge of Spies is Steven Spielberg’s newest cinematic masterpiece, starring Tom Hanks as the courageous James Donovan. The movie keeps a dark and tense tone throughout, but the relationships between the characters always tend to brighten the mood. Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance share a number of incredible scenes on screen together, giving moviegoers a great insight into the relationship between Rudolf Abel, a Soviet spy, and James Donovan, an American lawyer. Both actors give their all in this film, creating an amazing experience to watch.

The movie takes place during the Cold War, and is based on actual events from history. During the talk-back after the film, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks discussed how they filmed most of the movie in the locations where the original story took place, such as the iconic bridge scene in the film. Bridge of Spies is an amazing film, and definitely an experience that no one should miss. This film has some of my favorite talent!- Tom Hanks (“James Donovan”), Alan Alda (“Thomas Watters”), Amy Ryan (“Mary Donovan”),  Mark Rylance (“Rudolf Abel”), and Steven Spielberg (Director). 

Bridge of Spies is intense, well-written, and extremely interesting, as it follows Rudolf Abel and James Donovan through their troubles and extraordinary friendship. This film features some of the best performances I have seen in a movie in a long time. Overall, Bridge of Spies is amazing, and one of my favorite movies of the year.
