TOTAL VOCAL is a contemporary a cappella concert coming to Carnegie Hall featuring music and cast members from the major motion picture PITCH PERFECT! Taking place on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 2:00pm at Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, Carnegie Hall, the third annual show will feature soloists/Barden Bella Kelley Jakle, beatboxer Chesney Snow, cast members from Broadway’s In Transit and NBC’s The Sing Off, as well as a cappella groups from all over the country!

 The concert will be hosted and conducted by Deke Sharon (Music Arranger—The Sing Off, Pitch Perfect Movies, Broadway’s In Transit ) and tickets start at just $20. Last year’s sold out show means tickets are going fast – get yours before it’s too late!

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media today announced details about Cars 3: Driven to Win, the world-class competitive racing game that features beloved characters from the upcoming Disney•Pixar Cars 3 film in an entirely new interactive experience. Cars 3: Driven to Win is being developed by Avalanche Software, newly re-opened under Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and will be available for the PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch™ and Wii U™ beginning on June 13, 2017.

“It’s been an amazing experience to work with the team at Pixar once again for this new game for the beloved Cars franchise,” said John Blackburn, Vice President and Studio Head, Avalanche Software. “With Cars 3: Driven to Win, we wanted to create a game that allows fans to extend their experience with this great film, and also feel the thrill of speeding through the tracks, participating in races, and mastering tricks and techniques for fun with the whole family.”

 

Picking up after the final big race in the film, Cars 3: Driven to Win extends the storyline of Cars 3 with all-new action packed adventures and takes players through a high-speed competition that is filled with both familiar and new faces. Players will be able to join Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez as they prepare to take on rival racer Jackson Storm. The game features more than 20 customizable playable characters including popular heroes from the Cars franchise and next generation racers. Players can also select their favorite race environments from a series of iconic settings from the film, such as Radiator Springs and Florida International Speedway, with over 20 unique tracks to choose from across 13 different locations.

 

Cars 3: Driven to Win is a game that empowers players to master their driving skills for the ultimate competitive racing experience. With six thrilling modes for gamers to learn and advance their abilities, players can progress their character through training and tests of racing proficiency that unlock new modes, tracks, characters and more. Players can hone a wide variety of skills and abilities including Drifting, Turbo, Two-wheel Driving, Driving Backwards and Side-Bash. Each unique mode and ability allows players to explore the deeper gameplay mechanics and earn rewards for their expertise. Cars 3: Driven to Win provides an exhilarating, action-packed experience where training and skill give players an edge in a racing experience that anyone can win.

Additionally, players will be able to experience Cars 3: Driven to Win with their friends or on their own to perfect the various racing styles and modes available to them. Judging by what I have heard so far, COCO is going to be an amazing movie and quite as moving as well. It looks like a typical Disney PIXAR movie that goes right for your heart and soul! Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz (voice of Benjamin Bratt). Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael García Bernal), and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history. Directed by Lee Unkrich (“Toy Story 3”), co-directed by Adrian Molina (story artist “Monsters University”) and produced by Darla K. Anderson (“Toy Story 3”), Disney•Pixar’s “Coco” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2017. #Nintendo Mario Sports SuperStars- Review

Nintendo’s Mario Sports SuperStars ReviewMarioSports

Mario Sports SuperStars is the ultimate game package for both fans of the iconic Super Mario franchise and fans of the sports video game genre. SuperStars packs in a variety of different modes that include soccer, baseball, tennis, horse racing and golf. Each of these distinct sports is extremely well-rounded, and function almost as if they were their own separate releases in terms of quality. Recently our family was invited to the Mario Sports Superstars event at Nintendo New York and had such a blast! I was able to team up with some of my gamer friends and see who was the ultimate superstar!

 One of the major perks of playing a Mario-oriented sports game is that it gives you the enjoyment of playing these games while at the same time seeing some of the most iconic characters in modern gaming. I had a blast as I passed the ball between Bowser and Bowser Jr. while playing soccer. I had Donkey Kong compete against his fellow Nintendo stars in a horse racing event. The Horse racing is one of my favorites! It’s a pretty intense set up that takes you from stable to racetrack. Did I mention you get the train the horses yourself. I just love the look of all the horses. Mario Sports SuperStars also includes amiibo integration, with a special amiibo card included with each game sold. These cards can be scanned into the game to unlock special boosts for characters, and the cards look great alongside players’ amiibo figure collection.

The game also features both online and local multiplayer support ranging from two up to six players. This is a great addition for while playing the game on the go. You and your friends can hop into a quick match and duke it out. The game is vibrant and visually appealing, as all the characters are beautifully realized on the 3DS system. The overall atmosphere of the Mario world works perfectly with these sporting events, as in game modes like soccer characters such as the iconic Shy Guys can be spotted in the bleachers watching the game take place. The game features five full-featured sports including Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Baseball and Horse Racing! What a great combination of games packaged together. There is training, single player and multiplayer games. There are three cups available, The Mushroom Cup, The Flower Cup, and the Star Cup. Completing the Star Cup unlocks Champion’s Cup that will give you extra perks. Something I love about the game is the elaborate amount of favorite Nintendo characters you can find within the game.  Is this game good for boys? Yes! Is this game good for girls? Yes! Is this game good for parents that play their kids’ 3ds while they are asleep? YES! Everyone in the family will love this one. It is definitely a game for all. It also would make the perfect birthday gift for a gamer that you know. Overall, Mario Sports SuperStars is a lot of fun, and is a new essential for 3DS gamers. I had a spectacular time playing all of the different events, competing against my friends, and making sure I could do anything I possibly could in the game. The title really lives up to its name, as you will feel like you are, in fact, a superstar, when you beat out your friends in the big game!
