Halloween Fun At Six Flags Great Adventure-Thrills By Day Fright By Night!!
Every family has traditions right? One of our Halloween traditions here is to visit Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. Less than two hours from NYC makes it a great day trip and a great way to have some Halloween fun! Since our family has kids of all ages it’s great to know we can go to Six Flags and enjoy no scare fun all day and then total scare fun at night. Recently we packed up the fam and headed down the NJTP to exit 7A! Of course Emily was dressed to the nines in her Halloween witch costume and ready to hit the trick-or-treat trail. It was our first stop. The trick-or-treat trail is so adorable. The treat bags are prefilled so you can spend time with the characters that line the trail. Besides the Trick-or-Treat Trail we had some fun with Bad Bob the Bone Butcher, The Spooky Kooky Magic Show, Just My Rottin’ Luck and more!
Our day was filled with non scare Halloween fun and rides galore. All the rides are open during the Halloween dates so you can spend the day riding all of your favorites. Since we missed the safari ride during our summer visit we decided to check it out. We have never gone to it during Fall and it was really a different experience. The animals were very active and there were babies everywhere. If you do go on the Safari be sure to feed the giraffes. There is an extra charge of $6.00 a person and well worth it. One person can usually accompany the kids on the feeding as long as it is not overcrowded. Our entire family enjoyed the experience. Besides the giraffes there are other hands on opps at the stop. The giant anteater entertained us by coming out and investigating everything in his surroundings. There were snakes to touch and more. It you want an up close animal experience Six Flags Safari has it waiting for you. You also have the option to stay on the safari vehicle if you do not want to stop and just want to continue on.
Now, if scares are not your thing I strongly suggest to RRRRUNNNN to the exit gate before 6pm!! Although there are scare free zones where you can wait and not worry about being spooked you have to securely be in those zones by 6pm. If you LOVE FRIGHTS- Oh yeah, this is the place for you! If you are not in a scare free zone you are fair game so be warned. New Big Top Terror 3-D clown maze, Blood Shed terror trail, Demon District scare zone and the return of Hypnosteria and Doc Swan’s Sideshow of Oddities! Plus favorites like Dead Man’s Party, Voodoo Island, Asylum, The Manor, Wasteland and more! Check out more details about #FrightFest in our other post here: 3decades3kids.net/frightfest
