Easter Bunny Train Ride- So Cute! One More Ride- April 4th! Delaware River Railway!

EasterBunnyTraind

Recently we had the chance to ride on the Easter Bunny Train at the Delaware River Railroad! What a treat! We have been to many Easter Bunny events during our Easter Bunny years and this one is really a cute one! We have been to quite a few rides on the Delaware River Railway, but somehow have missed this one in the past. That won’t happen again!

Upon arrival there is really nothing special to give you a hint of just how adorable this event will be. As always, the kids love the big downward hill to the bottom where the railroad tracks separate you from the Delaware River. As we waited for the train the crowds grew. Soon enough the massive train pulled in that carried up to six hundred people and kids ready to party with the Easter Bunny. My daughter was waving with both hands to the people and kids on the train from the last ride. I had the feeling right then that this was going to be good!

As people exited the train we were greeted with so many smiles and Happy Easters that I lost count. Baskets, eggs and bunny ears were there in abundance. Little did I know, this train was fully equipped with a full car gift shop and a full car snack shop! What a thrill it was to Emily to shop for an Easter Basket and little trinkets and then grab a cookie at the snack shop. You would have thought we were on a full blown excursion! It was so much fun. The prices were extremely reasonable with baskets for a dollar and snacks in the same range. There is something to be said about not being ripped off when you are taking the kids somewhere. No wonder almost every kids was coming off of the train before us with bunny ears and a  basket!

Well, we boarded, shopped and found our seats. There are no set seats so you can choose to site where ever you would like. It wasn’t long before the Happy Easter songs were playing and off we went down the tracks! The ride in itself last about and hour and fifteen minutes including the egg hunt. Along the way, we sang songs with a banjo player and watched a juggler who juggled stuffed Peeps, balls and more. We looked out the window and chatted about Easter and the Easter Bunny! Before long that cotton tailed guy found his way to our car and posed for pictures! There was also an opp to donate and grab a stuffed bunny, chick or ducky. You don’t need to ask, of course we always donate.

Along the way the train stopped at a small field filled, super filled with eggs! There were eggs everywhere! The kids were told to take a limit of four eggs. Most kids ran around filling up their baskets and then choosing four and leaving the rest for the next group of children. It was incredible to see how everyone respected the four egg limit rule. The parents were snapping pics by the dozens. The Gray Bunny and White Bunny were both off the train for more photo opps, too. In about fifteen minutes the train Toot Tooted and everyone reassembled back on the train.

Off we went back to the station where we exited the train with big smiles, Easter baskets, filled eggs and memories to last a lifetime! Than you Delaware River Railway for the amazing day of fun!

Great news! There is still ONE Train Day left to ride with the Easter Bunny! April 4th, Easter Saturday, you can still enjoy this fun day with the Easter Bunny! If you are in the area check it out. It’s about an hour from NYC.
