Tribute To American Legends of The Ice Show
For years I am been following Figure Skating. I have watched it so much that my children and hubby are familiar with all of the skaters. They have even conformed (and enjoy) and watch with me! To me there is just something magical about watching what this select group of skating experts can get accomplished on the ice. Maybe it’s the fact that I can’t even stand up on a pair of ice skates that just mesmerizes me about the entire sport.
America’s figure skating legends, from Dick Button to Evan Lysacek, will be turning out in the IZOD CenterDec. 11 for a one-night skating celebration as the sport’s newest stars prepare for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in February.
In all, 10 Olympic gold medalists and seven Olympic silver medalists, as well as many of the sport’s future stars in Sochi will be participating in the P&G & Walmart Tribute to American Legends of the Ice show. The show will be highlighted by another champion — American Idol’s champion, that is — in Scotty McCreery, who will perform live in this one-night evening of entertainment.
American skaters have been among the most successful in the Olympic Winter Games in years past and many of those legendary names will be in New Jersey for this special evening. Among the skating champions expected to be in attendance are Kristi Yamaguchi, Nancy Kerrigan, Brian Boitano, Scott Hamilton, Sarah Hughes, Sasha Cohen, Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto and many, many more.
In addition, the champions will be intermixed with the next generation of American skating stars. Two-time U.S. champion Ashley Wagner will be joined by reigning American champion Max Aaron, pairs champions Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir, U.S. silver medalist Gracie Gold, 2012 U.S. silver medalist Adam Rippon and many others. These skaters are making their final preparations for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, and the Winter Games kick off in Russia in February.
Tickets for this legendary evening are on sale now for P&G & Walmart Tribute to American Legends of the Ice show and can be purchased through Ticketmaster. With less than 100 days to go before the Opening Ceremony in Sochi, Olympic Fever is beginning to spread. Catch it now at the IZOD Center before it’s gone.
