Disney’s Frozen A Must See For Your Family!
 Interviews With
Kristen Bell(Anna) and Idina Menzel(Elsa)
Recently my family was invited to a screening of Disney’s Frozen.
This Disney movie just outdoes itself between the animation, musical score, story line, and characters.
Frozen definitely moved up to number one on my Disney favorites movies.
Presented in Digital 3D the movie had me from the very first scene.
There will be another post with my full review of movie details
but for now let’s talk about the day after the screening.
As you know, I cannot resist rubbing elbows with the celebs. So when an invitation to
sit at a round table interview with the stars of Frozen I was more than thrilled.
Disney has a way of treating their bloggers like gold and this event was no different.
Our group of ten was treated to a day of fun, food, and interviewing intrigue.
First up was the beautiful Kristen Bell. Hard to imagine that she is even more beautiful than she
appears on screen and print ads.
What a delightful young woman. Kristen voices the younger sister, Anna, who does not understand why her older sister keeps her at a distance during her childhood.
I was amazed to find out that Kristen had quite a beautiful voice. She let us know that she had taken extensive voice lessons in Italian, but had never sung in English until she was twelve years old.
Chatting with Kristen was like grabbing a cup of coffee with an old friend. There were plenty of laughs and just plain honestly. Kristen shared how she related to the character of Anna because she also was a bit clumsy and not exactly the princess type. Anna is bit of an awkward character and Kristen admitted she was much like her as a younger girl.
Kristen shared with us what she looked for in a friend, “Humor, first and foremost. Because if you’re not laughing, what’s the point? Kindness. I’m one of those people who is checking to see how you’re treating the waiter. It’s really important to me. It makes me very uncomfortable when I’m friends with someone treats people, strangers poorly. It was refreshing to see how down to earth, honest and upbeat Kristen came across. It’s no mistake that Disney placed her as Anna. Perfect fit!

Our following round table interview was with the beautiful Idina Menzel who voiced the older sister, Elsa in the movie. Elsa was in a constant inner battle with herself  trying to control her curse of freezing anything and anyone that crossed her path. Personally, I thought that Idina Menzel’s personality came very close to the personality of the character Elsa. She was very polite and very poised. Idina expressed that she did think Disney’s Frozen had a Broadway quality to it, “I think it kind of fell into place that way and I feel the respect and support that we feel when we are recording and putting this together is the same kind of respect and support we feel for what we do from the producers and the creators. Their love and admiration for the theater actors permeated the whole process”.
Idina also clued us into the fact that she loved winter over summer. “I prefer winter. I grew up in Long Island and we loved the seasons and playing in the snow. I went to NYC and have the fondest memories of when New York City was overtaken by a blizzard. On the weekends when it is so beautiful, pure and white.”
Idina Menzel had an amazing personality and after attending the screening of Frozen the night before I could not help but see just how much of Idina was a part of Elsa and Elsa a part of Idina.
