The Great Pumpkin Train runs from October 5th to the end of October, weekends.
Ride our steam train through the beautiful fall landscape of Western New Jersey. Take the train to the pumpkin patch located in a little glade in front of the historic Carpentersville Lime Kilns dating from the 1700’s.
Once we arrive at the Pumpkin Patch everyone is welcome to get off the train and EVERY CHILD can pick their own pumpkin forFREE.

Growing up I never liked Fall. It meant the end of summer and going back to school.I loved summer with it’s school free days and warm long nights. Fall always felt like the end, instead of the beginning of a new season. It wasn’t until I had children that I could truly enjoy fall. Now I can enjoy the change of colors and coolness in the air. “Look at the color of those leaves, Mom!” “I like it so much better cooler than hot Mom.” ” Watch me jump in this pile of leaves Mom!” And we get to do it all day into night because rather than going to school, we chose to homeschool. Now I don’t have to have “the end” kind of feeling. Fall can be the beginning of something colorful, cool and fun.
