DELIGHTFUL CHILDREN’S MUSICAL ANNABELLE BROOM, THE UNHAPPY WITCH COMES TO THE MASTER THEATER IN BRIGHTON BEACH FOR
TWO “SCARE-IFFIC” PERFORMANCES ON OCTOBER 20!

The Master Theater (formerly the Millennium Theatre) in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn is getting into the Halloween spirit when it hosts the enchanting children’s musical, Annabelle Broom, The Unhappy Witch, with two performances on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20. Tickets are on sale now!
Most people think witches are ugly, mean-hearted creatures.  But Annabelle Broom knows that is not always the case.  More interested in being fashionable than frightening, Annabelle bemoans her outdated black witch’s clothes and her failing grades in her witch classes.  She is unconventional and likes to wear pink and be nice to people instead of scary.  However, the head of the Witches’ Union doesn’t like her unconventional behavior and threatens to revoke Annabelle’s Haunting Card.  She orders Annabelle to scare two lost children.  But despite Annabelle’s reluctant efforts to frighten them, she agrees to help the children find their way home.  When the Witches’ Union hears of this, they rush to reprimand Annabelle before her good deeds take away all their powers.  But in the end, Annabelle, the Witches’ Union, and the lost children learn the truth about witches, and the power of doing good deeds.
With fun songs such as, “Pink Is My Color,” “We’ll Boil Her In Oil,” “Think One Happy Thought,” and “Witch Chant,” children and parents alike will be singing along together as Annabelle discovers the importance of staying true to herself in the face of adversity.  Written by Eleanor and Ray Harder with music by Eleanor Harder, Annabelle Broom, The Unhappy Witch has a delightful charm and a gentle wit.  The Los Angeles Times described the show as “a delight for youngsters, and their elders will find her fun too… music and lyrics are jaunty and fresh.”  The Miami News called it “a wonderful little play that richly deserved the standing ovation.”  Annabelle Broom, The Unhappy Witch is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
The recently renovated and rebranded 1,400 seat Master Theater offers comfortable seating with excellent acoustics and sight lines along with premium audio and visual systems.  The theater sits right in the heart of the vibrant Brighton Beach community and is easily accessible by subway and other forms of transit.

We Have Passes For You

We have all heard of Romeo & Juliet. Most of us have had the chance to read the story or see it on screen. I love the story so much that I named my pet Lovebirds, Romeo & Juliet!
Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare’s epic and searing tale of love is revitalized on screen by writer Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) and director Carlos Carlei (The Flight of the Innocent). An ageless story from the world’s most renowned author is reimagined for the 21st Century. This adaptation is told in the lush traditional setting it was written, but gives a new generation the chance to fall in love with the enduring legend.  With an all-star cast including Hailee Steinfeld, Douglas Booth, Paul Giamatti and Stellan Skarsgard, it affords those unfamiliar with the tale the chance to put faces to the two names they’ve undoubtedly heard innumerable times: Romeo and Juliet.  Every generation deserves to discover this lasting love.
