Leapfrog LeapReader Class Party Was A Huge Hit With The Kids!
Being a former classroom teacher who spent twenty years with the little people educational fun is something very close to my heart. Honestly, I have looked and looked and cannot find anything that can top the Leap Frog system. They are all approved by educational experts and not only offer learning tools, they offer subjects that will keep your child entertained while they secretly are advancing in the intelligence department.
Recently I was asked to review the new LeapReader by Leap Frog. Let me say up front that since Emily switched schools this year, I had not idea I was dealing with a picture free environment when I teamed up with her class to host the party. Along with saying that, it was a humongous hit in the classroom and the students loved it. I was right in my element demonstrating all of the components to the children. They had NO clue they would be learning anything. They just assumed I was there to have fun!
As those little faces looked up with their 3d glasses, some of the children took turns getting a closer look at the 3d Monsters University interactive book. The biggest hit of the day was the PEN that accompanies the LeapReader. That pen really got a workout. Every student did take a turn testing out their writing skills as the LeapReader pen helped along. The pen helped to keep everyone on track telling them to begin at the red dot and NOT to lift the pen. While some children took turns using the two LeapReader pens, others tested out their writing skills with the printed materials provided.
LeapReader is a full learn to write and read system. I could see the confidence in the children’s faces, including my own daughter. The pen that is included in the set can read sentences on the pages, ask questions, make letter sounds, tell the letters and also just display press and fun as the children touch the pen to different pictures on the pages.
All of the books are not 3d, so if your child is not big into the 3d scene you do not have to worry.
There are plenty of books and subjects to choose from. By the way we did enjoy snacks at the party as well, including Mike Wazowski cupcakes!
If you are a teacher OR a mom OR both, do not let Leap Reader pass you by. Your students and your own children will love it. Emily’s class loved it so much, I left the entire system pictured above for the class to enjoy (and they are). As for the biggest perk of LeapReader, the kids do NOT know they are learning, they are just having fun! You can learn more about LeapFrog products by clicking here.
Disclosure: Huge thanks to Leap Frog for hosting the party and letting this class enjoy the benefits of the Leap Frog reading and writing system. I had Emily check out the LeapReader system at home before the party so that I could be familiar with the system.

#NYC Empire State Building Plans LED Tower Light Show

On Halloween Night 8:30 pm #ESBoo

Anyone that lives in the area has the Empire State Building as a backdrop. With saying that I always enjoy watching the various display colors that that wonderful building has to offer the area on a nightly basis. Recently I found out that something absolutely amazing would be taking place this Halloween night! The building’s planned trick and treat
for Halloween – an electrifying LED tower light show synchronized to hit Halloween songs via Clear Channel radio, Z100 and 103.5KTU

The light show will take place at 8:30 p.m., during the prime point of the village Halloween parade, and have a great viewing point from the parade route on Sixth Avenue. This is going to be great for families out trick-or-treating to see, or
for little ones to finish off the night. I know we will definitely be around to take a peek at this one of a kind light show! You can get in on the social media fun by using hashtag #ESBoo.

If you are not in the local area don’t worry, we will be posting a videoing of the show right after it happens! Happy Halloween! This is going to be amazing! See you there! For more information on The Empire State Building click here!
