We have a pair of tickets for you!

Young Learners Can Join their Favorite Monkey on an Interactive Science,  Math, and Engineering-Based Adventure at LSC from 2/16-5/12

Curious George has been a part of our family for years and years. How anyone can resist that little monkey is beyond me. We have read countless Curious George books and have made him a part of the bedtime routine. When I heard that Liberty Science Center was about to host an exhibit dedicated to getting curious, I could not resist the invitation. We are looking forward to visiting and I will update you on the details right after our exhibit visit.  Check out http://lsc.org/ for more info.
The insatiable curiosity of Curious Georgie-the little monkey who has captured the imagination of hearts of millions of children and adults for over 70 years comes to life Feb 16, 2013 at Liberty Science Center!

The new traveling exhibit Curious George: Let’s Get Curious! will introduce young children to Curious George’s world and inspire their natural inquisitiveness as they explore age-appropriate science, math, and engineering through hands-on play.
“LSC has increased our offerings for families with kids under 7 by adding new educator-led programs, movies and exhibit experiences just for them – and we’re getting great feedback from guests,” says Paul Hoffman, LSC’s President and CEO. “We’re thrilled to add this playful traveling exhibit to the mix.”
Based on the familiar characters in H.A. and Margret

Rey’s classic stories published by Houghton Mifflin, the immersive environment is set in the neighborhood where Curious George lives with his friend, The Man with the Yellow Hat. Guests will recognize familiar characters and places featured in the classic stories and television series.

Exhibit Highlights
·         Operate wheels and pulleys to move Curious George in the Apartment Building. Then climb up the fire escape and go inside to experiment with color, light, and shadow.
·         Play three holes of Mini Golf and putt your way through physics and engineering lessons using pipes, ramps, and funnels.
·         Jump aboard the Space Rocket that Curious George took on his Outer Space Adventure and pose for a photo. Then slide down to the control center where you can email your picture back home.
·         Stop at the Sidewalk Produce Stand to explore shape, sorting, weighing, and counting with fruits and vegetables as you role play as the customer or salesperson.

·         Hug a full-size Curious George in the City Park. Babies and toddlers will especially enjoy the Park’s busywall activities.
·         Check out the Construction Site and climb into the trailer to design your building. Then choose from a variety of materials and actually build it!
