Stop #2 Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House- Walt Disney World-Planning Our Summer In The Middle of Winter

Stop #2 Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House-
 Walt Disney World-
Planning Our Summer In The Middle of Winter
Master Bedroom at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House
Stop #Two on our upcoming Disney Trip this summer is another one of
my favorite Disney Resorts and part of the Disney Vacation Club. If you are a
DVC member most likely you have stayed here, if you haven’t it should definitely
be added to your list. I don’t think a summer stay goes by that we do not spend
at least a few nights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House. If you
are looking for something a little different with a very authentic African Savannah feel,
this resort is for you. Honestly, our family can spend days at the Animal Kingdom
Lodge without even hitting the Disney Parks. It’s off the beaten path and
not far from the Animal Kingdom.
This year we will be spending a few nights in a two room suite with a Savannah  view.
A Savannah view means you will have access to the view all
day and all night right from your room and private balcony. When you check in you will
receive a check list of Savannah animals you may see during your stay.
I personally can think of nothing better than waking up to the sight of giraffes and zebras grazing a arm’s length away, or so it seems.

As for the inside of the room, the pictures speak for themselves!
The pool, Uzima (meaning clear water), is an amazing sight. Just a stones throw behind
the pool you can find flamingos, giraffes and other animals in a natural setting.
If you are spending the day at the pool and wake up early check out what time the pool opens.
There is a special opening ceremony that takes place daily that your children can take part in.
Opposite the pool and through the lobby you can find the Savannah section of the resort.
You can find many African animals here and also some cast members from Africa that can share their
knowledge and answer any questions.
A nightly story time takes place around a huge fire pit surrounded by wooden rockers. This is a wonderful
area to visit both day and night.
As a little tip, if you happen to be at the resort at about 8pm(check time at front desk), you will
definitely want to hang around the lobby. If you have children they can choose an authentic African instrument from a cast member and get to test it out in the nightly parade throughout the lobby.
There is also the Cub Club where your children can find crafts and you can also check the
children in for some extended fun if you choose.
When you stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge be sure to test out at least one of the
dining areas. You can sample delightful African dishes in both sit down, buffet (Boma)and
food court style at The Mara. Don’t worry if you are not adventurous, they also serve American choices.
If you have a chance to stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, take it! You will love it!
