It seems like Hershey’s has been a part of my life forever.
I can remember going to Hershey Park as a child and talking about it  for weeks afterwards. Little did I know then how long the memories would last and carry on to my own children. My family of five has shared many Happy Hershey’s Moments together! I can proudly say that our family is a very Hershey’s Family! 
I can remember when I first heard that a Hershey’s store would be moving into Times Square. My entire family could not wait to see what it would be like. The excitement built as the opening date closed in. We visited it as soon as it opened and frequented it many times since, so it was incredible to me to think that the store has been there TEN years already! 
I was honored to be invited by Hershey’s to share in the Big 10th Anniversary Celebration!
As if the store was not already wonderful enough, it has taken on a refreshing new look and has some amazing new interactive fun to share with its visitors. Opening the doors to the Hershey’s Chocolate World Times Square is like opening the doors to whole other world. Once inside you will be greeted by the chocolate scent that only Hershey’s chocolate can  create. Ummmm..Thank goodness one of the new store features is “Taste Hershey’s Happiness Station” where you can sample the latest and
 greatest chocolates! You will definitely 
want to sample some of these.Yum! There will be two samples showcased each week.
One of my favorite new additions to the store is “Wrap Hershey’s Happiness” where you can customize a wrapper for a 7 oz. bar with your picture and personal greeting. It will be displayed on the marquee that adorns the store. Wow! Now that is something great! I loved to see my children’s pictures not only on the chocolate bar wrapper to treasure, but on the billboard of the store with the marquee scrolling below. It doesn’t get much better than that in my eyes! The experience was pretty exciting for everyone in our family! “Wrap Hershey’s Happiness” is also available online at hersheysstore.com where you can choose the wrapper! You can also choose from pre-wrapped designs featuring NYC Times Square images or holidays, such as Mother’s Day. The bars are reasonably priced and start at less than $5.00, and only $9.99 for the personalized bar with billboard/marquee. Imagine how happy someone would be to see their picture on the billboard for their birthday, anniversary, holiday or just because! It’s hard to resist!
We also had the chance to try out the redesigned “Mix Your Favorites”, where my children were able to choose their favorite Hershey’s Miniatures that were then, somehow magically, with a touch of a button transported from up above into our bucket of fun! What a great experience to try out! The bucket was overflowing with all of our family’s favorites!
Guests also have a wonderful opportunity to give back,if they choose to, through “Share Hershey’s Happiness” program. They can purchase a wooden token and use it to vote for the supported charities: Children’s Miracle Network, United Way, World Cocoa Foundation. The Hershey Company will donate funds to each organization bases on the percentage of votes that each receives.

Everyone needs a little something sweet now and then, so when I heard about Cupcakes by Carousel, home of Oprah’s favorite red velvet cake, decadent cakes, pies, gourmet cupcakes and more, I could not wait to find out more about them. 
I immediately thought of my son who lives away at college. With finals coming up very soon, I knew this would a real hit! I was thrilled to find out that Cupcakes by Carousel could be delivered to stressed -out students nationwide and give them a little taste and support from home. It may be just enough of a sugar push to finish up that last minute studying and  help them succeed with some homemade delicious cupcakes. 
I could not have been more on the money about this one. I immediately received a text message back when I sent one to my son saying that at cupcake care package was on the the way. The text from my son: WHEN??????
The cupcakes were delivered in a 6 pack of delish! 
The “Candy” Survival cupcake package includes one of each of the following:
  • Cookie Dough- vanilla cake, topped with a scoop of cookie dough, (raw and eggless), large chunks of homemade blondies, and finished off with a chocolate drizzle
  • Brownie- chocolate cake topped with chocolate fudge icing and yummy brownie chunks, drizzled with milk & white chocolate sauce
  • Turtle- vanilla cake, iced with our sweet cream cheese icing, surrounded by crushed pecans, followed with  a delicious caramel & chocolate drizzle
  • Oreo- chocolate cake iced with Oreo butter cream & dipped in chunks of crushed Oreo bits
  • Coconut Snowball- vanilla cake, filled with coconut creme filling, topped with vanilla butter cream, dipped in sweetened coconut flakes
  • Cannoli- vanilla cake, topped with our Italian style cannoli cheese icing surrounded by crushed cannoli shells & miniature chocolate chips

When the Cupcake Care Package arrived at the dorm, my son immediately picked it up and it was gone! Of course he shared the yummy treats with his girlfriend and roommates. They ALL gave the cupcakes a thumbs up! He loved the surprise of getting cupcakes by delivery and it sure picked up his spirits about all the long hours of studying that he currently facing in the days ahead!

Our family had the chance to sample the same “Candy”  Survival Cupcake Kit at home and we had pretty much the same reaction! My favorite was the cannoli cupcake, but my daughter who is a chocoholic loved the brownie cupcake. Of course my son who is  cookie addict, had the best of both worlds with the Oreo cupcake. There were no complaints, but a lot of smiles! 
If you have someone who lives away at college and you want to make them smile during this stressful time of final exams, this certainly will do the trick! Of course, you don’t need a college kid to enjoy this treat. You can send to anyone and for any reason at all! It will surely put a smile on anyone’s face to have a half dozen delicious cupcakes hand delivered to their door. I know it made our family smile and was quite a treat!
