Venus In Fur Now on Broadway

Venus In Fur
Now On Broadway
Lyceum Theatre
NYC

Recently I had the chance to take in the Broadway show Venus In Fur.
My night started with a great cocktail party at one of my favorite NYC stops, Hurley’s Saloon
I had that chance to catch up with some fellow bloggers and have a few laughs.
When I was invited to Venus In Fur I really did not know what to expect. This show has only a cast of two, Nina Arinda as Vanda and Hugh Dancy as Thomas. The wonderful understudies are Mark Alhadeff for Thomas and Liv Rooth for Vanda.
The night I got to enjoy the show with Nina Arinda and Mark Alhadeff.
I have really never been to a Broadway show with only a cast of two. I have also never been to a Broadway show with the focus on sexual content. I am pleased to tell you that both were fabulous.
I am certainly not intimidated about sexual content,
so I was interested to see how the show would play out.
I was happy to see that it was performed in just the right light that kept things right on the edge. Although there was no nudity, Vanda was quite scantily dressed throughout the show.
The show runs for one hour and forty minutes without an intermission.
You will not want to leave for any reason once it begins.

This erotic comedy begins suddenly with a thrash of lightning that’s shakes the audience into full attention.
As Thomas, the writer/director, conveys his frustrations of the day to his girlfriend via cellphone Vanda haphazardly enters the room. Thomas, disgusted by the day and lack of someone to fill the role, has no patience for Vanda and her stories about the subway and being hours late for an appointment she never had.
Thomas and Vanda struggle over Venus In Fur
He sees it as a wonderful love story, she sees it as S&M soft porn. And so the story begins.
Vanda finally convinces Thomas to let her read for the role of Vanda(same name)  and also convinces him he would be the perfect  Kushemski. This is where the fun begins. There are many times during the show that the entire audience was cackling!  Venus In Fur is a definite for a date night, friends night, or any night.
Mark Alhadeff as Thomas
This show is for adults and deals with some mature sexual content. If you have an open mind and enjoy a great erotic comedy, this is definitely for you!

Mirror Mirror
NYC Screening
March 24th 11am
Every time I see another ad for Mirror Mirror I like it just a little bit more!
It’s always so interesting to see how one of the most beloved stories of all time, Snow White, will take shape in an all new funny retelling of an old classic. Mirror Mirror stars Julia Roberts as the evil Queen and features Lily Collins from The Blind Side as Snow White, a princess in exile.
Snow White joins her seven courageous rebel dwarfs as they pull together to reclaim her birthright and win her Prince. The film also stars Armie Hammer from The Social Network as the Prince and Nathan Lane from The Birdcage as the Queen’s hapless servant.  This magical comedy has family fun written all over it!
I cannot wait to see Mirror Mirror with my own family.
You can see an advance screening in NYC this Saturday- March 24th at 11am.
Email Diane at ELGeorgia@aol.com with Mirror Mirror in the subject line for a Family 4 pack of passes!

Smashburger! Grand Opening!

Smashburger
Grand Opening
Ramsey NJ
Rte. 17
Now Open

Recently the 150th Smashburger opened its doors with a new location on Rte. 17 North in Ramsey, NJ! My family and I were pretty excited about our first trip to Smashburger for a sneak peek! We are constantly on the go and always on the hunt for somewhere that serves a delicious burger.
I have heard of Smashburger before, but never had the chance to actually visit one.
I was really delighted with the set up of Smashburger, the service, and especially the food choices, perfect!
My sons were happy to test out the burgers, my husband enjoyed a chicken sandwich, my daughter went with a hot dog kids meal, and I was thrilled to find out that they had a wonderful salad topped with chicken. I have to say that everything looked and tasted delicious. Of course I had to sample the official classic smashburger. Yum!

Smashburgers are made fresh daily. Every morning 100 percent angus beef is shaped into meatballs and held  until a smashburger is ordered. Then the meatball is smashed into a hamburger patty and the rest is smashburger history. Let’s just say it goes from meatball to delicious!
PS. The Shakes are Outrageous!

You can experience Smashburger yourself at many of the nationwide locations. Check out the nearest one by clicking here! You can check out the Ramsey,NJ menu and other location menus by clicking here! Each location catered to the local crowd!
If you have the chance, don’t miss checking out Smashburger. You will not be disappointed!

You can check out the my son’s Vlog with a kitchen tour and the makings of a Classic Smashburger!

Ringling Bros And Barnum & Bailey Circus DRAGONS Review

Ringling Bros and
 Barnum & Bailey Circus
 DRAGONS Review
(Ticket Giveaway Link Below)
Just a few nights ago my family and I had the pure pleasure
of attending Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus DRAGONS.
Our family has been to many circus shows in the past and I must admit that this was at the top of my list. It had a great story line, featuring the Year of the Dragon.
Our night at the circus started one hour before the show with the All access preshow!
This is something great that is included in everyone’s ticket. You simply arrive early and head to the circus floor. My daughter was able to take a trip though the giant inflatable obstacle course. She loved it!
My son enjoyed the jugglers and up close chat with the clowns. There were circus clothes to try on and even a chance to win an original painting by an elephant. By the way, the elephant was just feet away as was gazed at her with amazement. It is always a treat to get so close.
The All Access Preshow lasts one hour and gives you plenty of time to enjoy everything they have to offer.
This year’s show DRAGONS was a real treat! The story line was exciting and highlighted
The Year Of The Dragon. We still found pleasure in the clown tricks and watching the animals delight us with there intelligence, but the highlight for me was the wonderful wonderful dragon! Our family was lost in the fantasy of this year’s theme. The originality was intriguing as our quest for the dragon came to an end.

Of course there is always my daughter’s idea of circus fun which includes cotton candy, popcorn, an icee and (this time) a lovely white stuffed tiger! Well, you are only a child once, right? So why not live it up at the circus!
