Our family has been obsessed with Skylanders from the very first moment we heard about them. We own every version of the game and just about every Skylander available, yes it’s true! We just love Skylanders. It’s a game that Mom and Dad can enjoy just as much as the kids and something a family can game bond over! BUT just when I thought it could not get any better, Whoop, here it is- Skylanders Imaginators!! Skylanders Imaginators is the best game in the series yet. With the addition of iconic characters such as Crash Bandicoot, and enemies such as Kaos making their way into physical form, Imaginators delivers on everything that one would want from a Skylanders game. It’s extremely fun, it has loads of character customization options, an awesome story, and lots to do!

For the first time in a Skylanders game, players are granted the power to create their very own Skylanders. Starting with a wide array of items to choose from, and unlocking more as the game goes on, Imaginators gves many options for replayability, as new items can always be earned! Getting to play as characters like Crash Bandicoot and his arch nemesis Doctor Neo Cortex really enhanced the experience. I loved playing through the level that was specially themed for these characters, as it featured crates, characters, and other little details from the Crash Bandicoot series we have all come to love. Seeing these two licenses come together in this collaboration made for a great gaming experience.

 Overall, Skylanders: Imaginators reminds players why they have come to love this toys-to-life series so much, as it brings many more characters into the universe for an awesome adventure! With the addition of the new create-a-character, and the inclusion of Crash and Cortex, this is the most fun I’ve had in a Skylanders game yet!skylandersimag3

Our family is all about gaming. We love to play together as a family and really enjoy it! Recently we found something that you will definitely want on your holiday gift list! AirHogs have gone digital! The newest from SpinMaster’s popular line of remote-controlled vehicles allows you and your kids to take a step into the world of augmented reality, with the new AirHogs Connect: Mission Drone! The drone, which is the first in SpinMaster’s new AirHogs Connect platform, connects to your iPad, iPhone, or other mobile device and transforms your living room into a virtual battlefield. You’ll be able to fight aliens, save citizens in peril, and more with the help of this awesome drone!

     Here’s how it works: first, you download the free app, available now on Apple’s App Store and Google Play. From there, you link to your drone and can begin play either in free flight, where you have control of your drone to fly as you please, or in augmented reality, where the specially-designed playmat comes to life on your mobile screen and delivers you missions and objectives to complete with the drone. 

     The mission-oriented mode is designed to operate in the style of  an arcade-like high score competition, challenging players to complete as many increasingly difficult missions as they can in a single burst. Most play sessions are intended to range between ten and fifteen minutes, depending on how aggressively you play, and when the levels are completed, there is a hub world where players can utilize the resources they’ve obtained in the levels to upgrade the virtual performance of their drone.

      There is also a fully-simulated experience called Danger Dome that kids can check out while the drone is charging (it takes roughly 40 minutes to get a full charge.) In Danger Dome, players fly a simulated version of their drone through “training” levels similar to the standard missions, still accumulating points and resources to gain upgrades in the main game. There are also leaderboards showcasing players’ high scores, ranks, and more, so that kids can show off and compete with their friends on AirHogs’ network to have the best scores!

        We had the opportunity to test out AirHogs Connect: Mission Drone and absolutely loved it! Watching the play mat sprout a virtual city on our living room floor was super exciting, and we loved being able to navigate the environment from all angles with the drone! This is sure to be a holiday hit this year– it would make an excellent gift idea for kids of all ages, and particularly those interested in tech and toy-based video games.

The PBR (Professional Bull Riders) launches the 2017 Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) season at Madison Square Garden with the Monster Energy Buck Off at the GardenJanuary 6 – 8, 2017. The first stop on a fierce 26-city tour will showcase the top 35 bull riders in the world trying to stay on their 2,000-pound bovine opponents in a ferocious 8-second battles of brawn and bravado in the ultimate quest for the coveted gold buckle. The “toughest sport on dirt” comes to the “World’s Most Famous Arena” for three days of intense, adrenaline-soaked action. Tickets are on sale now for this much-anticipated event.

 

Current PBR World Champion Cooper Davis will be joined by two-time PBR World Champion and Monster Energy bull rider J.B. Mauney, 2016 runner up Kaique Pacheco, 19-year old phenom and 2016 rookie of the year Jess Lockwood, andfellow fan favorite athletes Silvano Alves, Ryan Dirteater, Guilherme Marchi, Mike Lee, Derek Kolbaba, , and Chase Outlaw as they compete to be crowned the Madison Square Garden event champion.

 

A total of 750 tons of dirt will be trucked in to cover over the ice of the New York Rangers with an 8-inch deep topsoil bull riding surface.  Copious amounts of pyro, a soundtrack blasting great music, and raucous arena filled with ardent fans witnessing the only sport featuring a lightweight confronting a heavyweight in the same arena, all help to make PBR one of New York City’s most electrifying annual events.

The 2017 Built Ford Tough Series rolls on for its 18-state tour, culminating with the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas when the 2017 PBR World Champion, the bull rider who has earned the most PBR world points during the 2017 season, will receive the ultimate bull riding prize – the World Championship belt buckle and $1 million bonus.

 

The BFTS is televised every week on CBS, CBS Sports Network and networks around the world. BFTS telecasts are produced for the PBR under a multi-year agreement with David Neal Productions, a Los Angeles-based production company led by 34-time Emmy® Award winner and Peabody Award winner David Neal, who serves as executive producer.
