Happy Birthday, Sesame Place! Wow, there is going to be a huge celebration this season and we cannot wait to see what Sesame Place has in store for our family and friends! Every year we have a countdown to opening day. This year the park opens May 2nd! We made it through the winter and if you are like me, you cannot wait to get outside and have some fun! You can be there to join the fun this opening weekend!
This year is the fun has jumped up a notch! On May 2 nd, Sesame Place is kicking off our season-long 35 th Birthday celebration! Join in the party all season long with fun and festive birthday decorations and a fantastic newNeighborhood Birthday Party ParadeTM. For the first time ever, the park will be decorated for the celebration with bright balloons and garland, a giant, inflatable birthday cake, and a line of life-sized candles all the way down Sesame Street. New character photo spots will be stationed throughout the park and even the adorable Sesame Street character topiaries will be outfitted in their birthday best!
The celebration continues all season long with the spectacular new Neighborhood Birthday Party Parade. The entire parade will be dressed up for the occasion including colorful balloons, sparkly cupcakes and a brand-new, toe-tapping birthday song! Guests will enjoy three show-stopping performances about letters, numbers, and friendship along with energetic contemporary and classic Sesame Street tunes. The new, interactive birthday stop will have everyone dancing and clapping along with their favorite Sesame Street friends as they are asked to “put their party hats on and blow out the candles!”
There will be awesome events, too! You can bring the kids to sing and dance with Choo Choo Soul May 9-10, Mike The Knight’s Musical Playdate May 30-31, and Kidz Bop Kids Live on June 6-7th. There will also be fireworks on May 23- 24th. Check out all the fun Sesame Street has for you right here!

Love the Sesame street Characters. I watch everyday with my daughter! They teach so much about love, caring, and more! My favorite along with my daughters is cookie Monster and Elmo, but we love them all!

My son turns 2 on May 6th, and is obsessed with Elmo! I would love to bring him along with his big sisters for a day at Sesame Place. We haven’t been there in years, and it’s only a little more than an hour from where we live. He would love to check out the rides& have his picture taken with his favorite character Elmo!
