Poptropica Adventures DS
When it comes to Nintendo DS games, I think we have a million.
It’s tough to decide what game is right for my daughter who
is six and new to gaming. She has been borrowing her brother’s DS
a lot lately, so I was not surprised when she wanted to play Poptropica
Adventures as soon as it arrived. She is a huge fan of Poptropica online and
wanted to see how it compared on this take along version for Nintendo DS.
Poptropica Adventures is rated E for Everyone. Yeah! I love
games rated E! I call them my “Worry-Free” games!
I could tell just from the cover that our entire family would
just love this game, but you can never be too sure so
we jumped right into game play.
Emily was happy to see all of her favorite Poptropica Characters right on
the DS. The game is based within the Poptropica museum. The museum is found in ruins
and needs the help of the player to help get it back on track.
During the game you have to search for missing artifacts from the museum. This will help the
restoration of the museum to take place and get it back to operational order.
You can travel to three separate and exciting islands so you can collect all the missing
artifacts. Each island has its own theme and unique adventures.
Along the way you will meet up with some interesting characters
and help to solve puzzles. We all loved the mini games. They were as much fun for
a six year old as they were to my teenage son and of course myself.
I always have to check out the game and usually end up playing much longer
than I initially think I am going to. I guess I have been a gamer for more years
than I actually care to admit.
I think what the kids and I really like most about Poptropica Adventures is
the individual approach the game has for everyone. You can put your own
spin on things by creating your own avatar with your choice of hairstyle, clothes, and more.
Each one is unique and can reflect your own personal style!
Poptropica Adventures is a definite YES in our book!
If you are looking for an amusing game that will entertain you for hours, this is perfect for you.
This game is great gift for friends and family!
